Wisneiwski Ready To Follow In Uncle's Foot Steps
It appears the Raidershave finally found a home for second round pick Stefen Wisneiwski , and the more things change , the more things stay the same . When drafted it was thought the young Wisneiwski would be the Raiders new center , but as the season approaches it appears he will follow in his uncles footsteps , and settle in as departed Robert Gallery's replacement at left guard .
Coach Hue Jackson commented to the Contra Costa Times , "I wouldn't say he's all the way entrenched there, but I think he's done some very good things , I think as we move closer to our opener, as we move closer to our game this week, we'll have a pretty good idea where we're going to play him at."
"It looks like that," Stefen Wisniewski, a second-round draft pick out of Penn State, told reporters Sunday night. "Certainly, things could change at any point, but it seems like that might be my permanent spot."
With Stefen Wisneiwski taking his place along side Jared Veldhere on the left side Oakland seems to have the left side of their offensive line locked up for years to come . Let's hope to see young Wiz dominate the way his uncle did for years in the silver and black .

I'm comfortable with Wiz at LG. Now I'd like to see Bruce advance to RG and Barksdale psych up his game and take OT
or, until Joe is ready, Stephon Heyer. And since we’re on the subject, I’d like us to sign Langston for backup (G & OT) and trade Barnes for a LB.

Barnes for a LB? good luck with that
Were better off signing Lofa tatupu or Thomas Davis

We couldn't get a bucket of warm piss
for Barnes, though the bucket of piss would cut down on the false starts…
we never retreat we always ATTACK!!!

barnes gould still be a goal line package TE since he still has better hands than gordon , but id like to see a RT brought in with a better work ethic to help show these young men how to work , i think stinchcomb would be an excellent tutor
but as far as right tackle goes with wiz penciled in at LG heyer should get a shot some where , hell be in the mix with barksdale and barnes for RT
Hah! Maybe Kelly is serving as Barnes midwife. Under Seymour's influence, Kelly delivered a 25 pounder last year

agreed i dont know why bruce has not progressed fasterr i thought he would of by now , barksdale im not sold on though , he has all the tools to be great but has never worked hard and made the most of them
it would be great to see the four youngsters step up and have our line locked uo for 3 or 4 years but barksdale will have to show me something before i can put my faith in him , i just have a hard time trusting over weight LSU tigers with questionable drive for some reason lol
Bruce
was really raw in college. There were plays where he couldn’t pick up the blitz and looked lost out there. Add that to the change of positions/different side on he line and his injury and you can see why he hasn’t taken the field yet.
Having said that, if he can put it together, its going to make for a scary good offensive line.
He has brought it when hes out there
He seems to have really good use of his hands and doesn’t loose contact once he is engaged. Decent push and doesn’t give up much ground. Granted he has been in there 2nd and 3rd team but he still gets a little to upright at times.
I Noticed
he was finishing blocks and has a bit of a mean streak like his uncle. It would be a nice change to see our offensive linemen putting the opposing DL on the defensive. I always thought they should push forward not just defend, attack and hammer the dline impose your will lean on them till they tire and steal their girlfriends in the 4th quarter. I think we are slowly building that with the last 2 drafts, time as always will be the judge

Wiz and BC go after there guy like that, doggedly. I've seen them get into altercations for that very reason.

I like what I've seen from young Wiz
Still learning, still making rookie mistakes, but he has the right makeup, and certainly who I would consider to be the right teacher…
