A Thank you to S&B Pride

I really want to take the time to thank this site. I have never had a place to share my Raider obsession before I found this site and that has been an extremely welcome stress relief. It really is something special to me to be able to share my opinions on the Raiders with such a large and intelligent group of people. We all have our own opinions and they don't always coincide peacefully together and I appreciate that too. I love seeing both sides of an argument and I really think this site helps me with that. I really enjoy reading everybody's opinions and comments. At times it is hilarious and other times aggravating but at all times a good experience. I live far away from Oakland and so I don't always have somebody to share my happiness and pain with, except my father who is a Die Hard fan as well.

I feel proud of sharing my writing with people publicly, which before now I really had not done. I love getting the positive and the negative responses. I love debating with people trying to prove my point, and I love being proved wrong as well. It is an outlet that had been lacking in my life and I want to thank everybody involved with this site. From Saint and Rich, to the Crew, to all of us that post here and share a bond with me by having the same love of the Raiders.

I was told by my father today that he was proud of my stories and showed a real excitement about getting to read them. I know that is biased just on a parent loving something created by their children, but the feeling of being told they are proud of you is always welcome. None of my stories would have existed for him to read without this site. I wouldn't have shared any of my writing, and would have been told by all my Packer fan friends to shut up atleast 100x more than they had to anyway.  I hope other people understand and feel the same way I do. It hasn't even been a year yet of having found this site, but I already can't picture not having such a good outlet for my Raider obsession. Thank You Silver and Black Pride, you have sincerely enriched my life!

Amen, brother MAK.

I know exactly how you feel. Before I discovered this site, I felt like I had no-one to share my Raider obsession with. Coming on here and talking football with prize minds and champion blokes like yrself, Rich, SoB, Saint, brhynno and the rest of y’all has enriched my life for the better. (My studies and work, on the other hand, have seen a crash – but fuck that shit).

Someday, the Raiders will be strong again, and they will dip the ball in shit and shove it down the throats of the wholesome, white, heartland teams that pray together and don't deliver late hits." - George Carlin.

Thanks for being here, and putting up with us! :)

This is the only place where I can discuss The Raiders, and I absolutely love it here. The debates here are excellent, and the knowledge that comes with it is just as valuable. Im glad you are around to share these experiences with us MAK, and I hope to see your life further enriched by your time here.

I believe this blog really is the pulse of the Nation

I joined 2.5 years ago and have been on the site basically daily since. We’ve been through some tough times but its great to share the Raider Renaissance with you guys.

Nice Post

I’m still new to the site but I absolutely love it here. I’ve got only two friends that love the Raiders like me and they live in different states. This site is a great way to learn about the team, get different opinions, and for often hilarious discussions that can go off topic. Even the debates here are epic. Love the site, love the Raiders, and proud to be a part of the Nation!

and we are that much better because you are a part, Marcus Allen Krause.

you’ve just expressed, eloquently and touchingly I might add, what this great site means to all of us. I have enjoyed sharing my writing with my father since getting praise on random pages here and there throughout school and college, and rushing home to see the pride in his eyes. While it has always been an ambition of mine to someday get paid for the talent with which I feel I’ve been blessed, I get no less enjoyment out of honing the skill here on a subject for which we all possess a tremendous passion.

As I cannot ever express the appreciation enough, I’ll go ahead and take this opportunity to say Thank You to all for being part, and to Saint for providing the place and making it better at every opportunity, to Rich for his feverish pace and dedication to providing us with not only the best, but often uplifting and humorous pieces when we need them most.

Our debates become as heated as any, but the results are always epic.

Usagoals.com is the one I use most of the time.

I think I am just going to suck it up and get NFL.com game pass this year mainly because i am usually at work on sundays and can listen to the games on the radio and the watch it when i get home, but not sure if it includes preseason – anyone know?

Yeah and it sucks when the damn stream keeps stopping and starting and it's seems pretty reasonably priced this year

Having said that I had some problems with the NBA game time service where I found the live streams were terrible. The on demand games were perfect but yeah had problems with live. Maybe it was that one game, I didnt try it again after that.

One cool thing about the NBA one though is that you can buy single games for $2.50

Marcus, I second that thought-

This is the first Raider’s Blog (or any Blog for that matter that I’ve joined). During the long dragged out lockout I searched for any news about my Raiders that I could find. I would read Rich’s (and others) posts, 2 or 3 times daily to get my fix (along with watching 2010 Oakland highlight reels and clips of our 2011 draft class again and again and again on Youtube). The Posts here talked me back from the ledge many times. I too am grateful for Silver and Black Pride. Raider for life.

shit. the only place i can watch nfl network is in a bar and bars here close at 2:30 AM.

It would start at 1am so I would only get an hour and a half. Plus there is no doubt I would be very drunk by that time if i were to wait at the bar for it to start. Ill have to check out that streaming shit.

This blog rocks.

Read this piece a few days ago and have been trying to think of something to say that wasn’t totally corny. Can’t other than to say it’s my only real connection to the Raiders these days and I spend a lot of my precious free time here. None of my friends are sports fans much less Raiders fans. Thanks a lot to all involved.

Your posting expressed my feelings to a T. Was around a few years ago but got really poor and had to give up my internet and cable etc. etc…. Had to move to find good work and I’m so happy to be back here at S&B Pride. My dad was a huge Baltimore Colts fan but got totally put off when they snuck out of town. For some reason I picked up on the Raiders and they have always been my team.
