Oakland Raiders Injury Report: WR Corp Is Hurting
If you can play receiver, now may be a good time to call-up the Oakland Raiders. Darrius Heyward-Bey didn't finish practice with a knee issue. Jerry McDonald quoted Hue Jackson on the injury. Jackson:
"Obviously, we've got to get him in, check on him, see where we are. Hopefully, he'll be OK. All I know is he didn't finish,"
Hue added that DHB would undergo extensive medical testing.
That doesn't sound good for his chances to play on Sunday. And that leaves the Raiders receivers shockingly thin. Louis Murphy and Jacoby Ford both seem unlikely to play.
If all those guys are out, Nick Miller, Denarius Moore, Chaz Schilens and Derek Hagan are the receivers. Nick Miller had been getting reps with the first team even before DHB's injury. He would be last on my depth chart.
I'd like to see Hagan and Schilens start. Give Campbell some solid route runners to try and get the passing game into some kind of groove, and then bring in Moore to take a shot at some big plays.
Let's just hope Kevin Boss is able to play.

Hmm...where do I call?
Our season has started and I have racked up 100+ receiving yards in our first two games (and 63 rushing yards in our opener out of purely Wildcat plays).
"In football, I root for the Oakland Raiders because they hire castoffs, outlaws, malcontents, and f*** -ups, they have lots of penalties, fights, and paybacks, and because Al Davis told the rest of the pig NFL owners to go get f***ed. Someday, the Raiders will be strong again, and they will dip the ball in s*** and shove it down the throats of the wholesome, white, heartland teams that pray together and don't deliver late hits." - George Carlin.
Backups
Oh yeah this sound s like a good line up to me. I hope this is the WR we use I think a couple of vets will make a huge difference.
We should start...
Chaz and Hagan and have Moore come in on 3 wide reciever sets! We need Boss to start though so I definitely agree with you! We should win this game on defense though! So hopefully the D shuts down there offense!

depth
Raiders are really developing their depth and you wouldnt have guessed during the pre season. I see it now though and it will really help come mid season. Zthats how all the good teams get to the playoffs. with depth. also good players and coaches. But look at what happened to the Vukings good starters but no depth.
That's the bright side, I suppose, of having injuries

Noon, Starting C-Chill and Hagan is NOT a bad proposition...
If C-Chill is healthy with Hagan that is a potetnt tandum…Also I think you will find IMO of course that you add Jacoby Ford to that mix and that is the best 3 receiver set we have even as the regular starters. Of course, if C-Chill is healthy, Moore in the mix is potent as well, and we don’t lose a step we gain here. DHB is last on my depth chart, speed, suspect hands and less than average route running, DHB is still trying to find his way. Where is Freddie Biletnikoff? He is a great teacher of the position, my cousin played with Fred after he left the Raiders and went tot he CFL, my cousin Keith was a QB in college at Texas A & M, their first recruited Black QB actually, and was converted to W/O Freddie taught him how to run routes and catch the ball properly. Ultimately he was All Pro. I think Fred could really help DHB. Back on subject. If C-Chill, Hagan, and Moore played all game, I believe we would be extremely successful passing the ball. Go Raiders!!!.

The Hage and Chill should start - they are our best receivers anyway.

Agreed Son's without question, though I give Ford the edge over C-Chill...
only because of a lack of time on the field. With that said, his size and speed do offer him an edge if he can stay healthy enough to play full speed all season..

Fortunately Our Primary Receivers Have Been "RB"s -n- "TE"s Up Till Last Week...
But it does make their job easier with a “DHB” drawing coverages deep…Who will do that now???…
Moore has the speed….
Chaz-n-Derek may work well short to medium which is basically all that our “QB” targets anyway….
Boss or Ausbury @ “TE” is good
“D-Mac”/Bush/“TJ”/Reece are all very dangerous once beyond the “LOS”….
Miller may be well used as a tweener “RB”/“WR” type sneaking out in the short or on screens….
PantyRaider, I don't believe DHB offers drawing too much deep coverage...
If you watch the film on him, his deep routes are rarely completed and Jason doesn’t throw an accurate deep ball. As a CB, I want DHB to run the fly or post, I would run with him until the ball is overthrown or he drops it…lol Needless to say, the CB’s job is to actually defend against the pass. DHB is his own defensive weapon on deep balls, and Jason just doesn’t deliver on the long ball. I am hoping J-Camp will change this, however as of this writing, including last season and preseason, he has not…..I do agree that J-Camp targets the short to medium and we both know why…lol However, I will point out that with our running game short to medium passes is all we need to win. And I do believe that all of our receivers have the speed to get deep, why, well, it has as much to do with the route running as it does with their flat out speed. If the WR can get the DB to bite, he is open, point blank..In that departement every WR on our roster is better than DHB…I do hope he finds his game, however, as of today he is still looking for it…Go Raiders

List of players with injuries, it’s really gonna cheapen our win. Hope these guys get better next week and can contribute for the rest if the season. I’m a closet raiders fan, just not this week.

I think I prefer starting Hagan and Chaz anyways
Ford will be missed, but Chaz and Hagan are just fine. Hopefully this will get Moore some additional snaps too.
Looks like Boss will be playing this Sunday....
@957thegame Raiders TE @KevinBossman on The Rise Guys now. Boss says he’s back this Sunday against the Bills. @957thegame @raiders

Will they take a 6'4" 265 lb Receiver that can run a 12.9 -25?
Then I’m your man. Please have plenty of oxygen and amphtamines on hand , and I prefer Fat Tire over gatorade. PS : I don’t do blocking. R.F.F.R.
Off to Friday Football; gonna put the hammy to the test. May all Raider injuries be of the non-preventable type
