"He'll gut the entire team"
That was the quote of Hue Jackson after he was fired. And he's probably right. Fans at home, get used to your jersey now, because no one is safe and that jersey could be worthless in 6 months. Now McKenzie is looking to bring anything familiar to him. Winston Moss is the leading candidate to be our next head coach. So with that said, is the Palmer era in Oakland over?
Now, I don't want it to be. Palmer was more than serviceable at the end of the year. Yeah, he made mistakes, but Brady's and Rodgers's don't grow on trees. However, the Raiders were 4-6 with Palmer at the helm, and that is putrid to a man coming from a 15-1 organization.
Matt Flynn has been groomed in the Packers' organization, a system likely to be implemented in Oakland. I think McKenzie trades McFadden and Palmer, drafts Richardson in Round 1 (if that's the return for McFadden) or Lamar Miller in Round 2 (if that's the return) and he'll sign Matt Flynn.
Don't think twice that the Oakland Raiders will look much different come 2012.
