Congrats to Smith and the 49er's & GO PATS!!!

Wow. What an amazing finish to a game. When the Saints got that last TD I though there's no way Smith and that SF offense are gonna get it done. They sure proved me wrong.

Normally I greatly prefer the Saints over the 9'ers, but hell ... first Bay Area playoff game in 9 years, the 9'ers been down as long as we have ... I couldn't bring myself to not root for them. Can't believe they got that done against Brees and Co.

Now GO PATRIOTS!!! Already 7-0, and the 14-0 Gronk TD is under review. If that stand's, the Donks are in DEEP TROUBLE. Brady is slicing and dicing their Defense, and playing like someone who is NOT going to lose his 3rd straight home playoff game.

Wow ... can't believe that TD wasn't overturned ...

Anyone think if that was a Raiders receiver that TD would’ve stood? Fuck no.

Oh well … I want Tebow demolished like 38-0.

by Brett J Valjalo on Jan 14, 2012 5:40 PM PST reply actions

Agreed

If it had been the Raiders it wouldve been overturned and ‘’65 yard penalty for being the Raiders’’. Maybe the Tebow fumble if it ahd been Brady they wouldve said it was an incomplete pass XD

That Gronk TD wasn't a TD

But stardom gets you far.The ball moved at the end of the catch making him not having control all the way through. But hey NFL lets jip the Raiders, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnBS8tTsnWE

I didn't defend the guy

while in the Raiders because i know he can’t cover #1’s but he is good. NE will turn him into another “Patrick Chung.” Clearly will lost a good CB but hey, whomever’s call was that to let him go was pretty stupid.

Anyone remember my saying that right when we let him go?

BTW, THAT was a catch & fumble right there that Moore caused.

Big difference being ...

Like him or not (personally I don’t mind the guy … the “Tuck Rule” wasn’t his fault, he seems pretty much like a class act, + he is a local boy) Brady has proven himself worthy of having people gettin’ on his jock.

Unlike Jesus-boy.

Not dissing Brady, actually. He's earned the sack slobbering, unlike the Donkey's imitation Messiah. But I find it extremely funny that the talking douches have to be having strokes trying to switch between the two in the same game. LOL

Fuck N9ners as well

We definitely need a tune up because N9ners and Raiders have been on the same track for years, but a new HC changed that for them. Clearly they won the bay this year but im sure we will be right were they as we rebuild this franchise. On the other hand, N9ners always draft well, 2007 they get Willis, we get Ass russell. They draft Goldson, we get mario henderson, The list goes on. Drafting hurted us and put us behind a lot.

Well, of course ...

That goes w/o saying.

You know what’s sad though? I actually dislike the Ravens and Texans (mostly cause I’m anti-Texas in general) even more than the Pats … so I’m going to end up having to pull for them in the AFC title game, which I usually haven’t had to do (except that SD game in 2007).

And if the Pats can play next week like they did this week, I don’t see them losing no matter which of the two they’re up against. That D was actually no joke tonight. Not elite, but good enough to win a SB considering how unstoppable Brady and that offense are looking.

True

but i like to see it as more exciting then UFC. Boxing will always be elite, and its because of what these guys do in the ring. If your ever seen the movie Warrior then you have to be an idiot to believe thats possible. The brother is in a armbar and doesn’t want to tap so he decides to let his arm snap, complete bs in real life. As for Boxers, they have the instinct of going to the end( the best fighters) The 11th and 12th round shows everything you got and thats when the fight gets even more exciting.

The thing is that with Boxing you get repeated punches to the head over a long period of time they get rocked then get up and keep going. I watch boxing too the big fights anyway but I find boxing much more brutal than UFC.

yeah i know but some people

(mostly UFC fan boys) make it as, hey thats what we do. but yeah it is far more brutal, i will say this though, UFC has way better judges and Refs, because sometimes boxing can be rigged to set up $$$ fights. Also the UFC stops are not pre-mature unlike boxing. Thats the only thing boxing lacks, Fairness at the cards.

I've been saying for the last couple of years

that Alex S would have a Gannon-esque late career resurgence once he got on a team that used him right. I just thought he’d have to change teams to do so.

Meh. I don’t like the Niners, but their players seem surprisingly non-douchey (Crabs excepted, and he sucked this game) so I’m happy for them. Plus, I bet big on a 49ers victory but not covering the spread. So I’m stopping at a titty bar before work.

Yes, I am a horrible degenerate excuse for a human being.

Bay Area confused..

“Growing up in the South Bay Area, I was both a Raider fan and Niner fan. Even dated old Niner Billy Wilson’s daughter. But I came around to the RAIDERS and I will bleed Silver & Black forever. But I have this soft spot in my otherwise hard shell heart for this team that has been shit for so long. It seems like in the Bay Area, when the Niners were great, the Raiders were average and vice versa not counting the LA years for the Raiders. So, I too cheered them on yesterday. I’m not a Saints fan but don’t hate them either and I even found a old beat up 49er hat to wear yesterday but of course the rest of me was covered with RAIDERS! I wish them the best against the Pack or the G-Men and although I’m still not sold on Alex Smith, I hope they get to the Superbowl. Man, the Bay Area needs a winner right now for sure! GO RAIDERS (of course) … and go niners with reservation. Raider Jon – JUST WIN BABY

by JEV1A on Jan 15, 2012 8:21 AM PST reply actions

I'm no Niners fan, though I don't hate them either,

But I was glad to see Smith and Harbaugh succeed. After all the crap Smith has taken from Niner fans, that he stuck by the team all this time…I think he deserved a big win like that. Can’t say Niner fans deserve it, though.

by Chris2814 on Jan 15, 2012 2:06 PM PST reply actions

Fuck the fucking niners

Many of you don’t live here in the Bay Area, so you (luckily) have not really experienced the “whiny niners fan”.

When losing the whiny niners fan is a quite introvert who meekly eats his brie and sips his wine while not paying any attention to his “team”
But when the team is winning this mild mannered loser turns into “Super Douche”

Talking shit with the best of them this Super Douche spouts off with all sorts of stats and figures about his vaunted niners (some of which are actually true) and high on an extra glass of Sutter Home white zinfandel will go on and on about how “his team” is the best and your team sucks and that every player on “his team” is better than those on your team at every position.

He is delusional and dangerous this Super Douche, but dangerous only to himself because eventually some Raiders fan will get sick of his shit and beat his ass!

"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"

It's true.

As I said, I’ve no hate for the Niners. I always like Montana and Young and Rice, but never much cared for the team beyond a few players here and there. Niner fans, however, are so damn obnoxious. Lots of fair weather fans there. And it still pisses me off that even early on in this season most were calling for Smith to get the hell out of town. Now they act as if they always loved the guy.

Like I said just above, I think Smith deserves the win he got after sticking by a fanbase and city that’s been ready to run him out of town for years now, but Niner fans don’t deserve this success.

Yes that is mostly the case,

but there are the occasional and rare Raider/SF Giant fans and they don’t fall into the same category as the “Whiny Niner fan”

The majority are both however and just like the Boston/New England fans.. they must be stopped at all cost, because life around here would be hideous sportswise if the “Whiny Niner fan” is released from his Sutter Home soaked and brie stained closet!

Go Giants…NY Football Giants that is!

"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"

I'll be far from heart-broken if the 49'ers lose to NYG

But I can’t bring myself to root against the Bay Area team hosting the NFC Championship. Living in AZ the past four years (but my previous 41 I called the Bay Area home), I really don’t have to deal with any douche 49er fans, so … I have too much ‘home’ nostalgia to actively want SF to lose in that game.

From where I sit, the Bay Area needs some football glory after all this time. It’s been too long.

by Brett J Valjalo on Jan 17, 2012 9:16 AM PST up reply actions

The Bay Area does need Football glory

but I’d prefer to wait until the Raiders make their return to glory and have the “Whiny Niner fans” be as disappointed and therefore QUITE as possible.

I have to much self preservation (living here in the Bay Area) to want it any other way… because I WILL be the Raider fan that gets sick of their shit and beats their ass… and that could get me into trouble!

So I’m going to root for the Giants as hard as I did for the Saints and will continue to root for whoever plays the Niners, because it’s in my own best interest!

Bay Area football glory can wait!
