Waufle to Rams as DL Coach
We knew this would happen. but it still sucks. I liked Waufle even though I knew he probably wouldn't be coming back. This was reported by the NFL Network and Jerry McDonald:
Defensive line coach Mike Waulfe will be the second Raiders assistant coach to leave for another job while the club awaits the hire of a new head coach, according to the NFL Network.
Waufle, who coached the last two seasons with the Raiders after an earlier stint from 1998-2003, was added to the staff of the St. Louis Rams Friday, according to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network.Wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal accepted a job with the New York Jets earlier this week.
Waufle was in attendance at the press conference of new general manager Reggie McKenzie, who said he will leave it to the new Raiders head coach to make all hires on his staff. McKenzie is still in the process of interviewing prospective candidates.
As of Friday, Waufle was still included on the Raiders’ roster of assistant coaches.
Hopefully we start hearing some news from ALameda, this is driving me nuts.

I'd like to keep him and Fassel as well...everyone else can go.

This definitely suggests to me that:
a) Reggie is after a defense-minded HC
b) we are most likely going to be a 3-4 team next year. Waufle is a pure 4-3 guy.
"In football, I root for the Oakland Raiders because they hire castoffs, outlaws, malcontents, and f*** -ups, they have lots of penalties, fights, and paybacks, and because Al Davis told the rest of the pig NFL owners to go get f***ed. Someday, the Raiders will be strong again, and they will dip the ball in s*** and shove it down the throats of the wholesome, white, heartland teams that pray together and don't deliver late hits." - George Carlin.
I think we are a year away from a 3-4 switch
Unless Reggie can pull off some good moves during free agency…we just don’t have the personnel to pull off that switch just yet.

Exactly
What I have been saying. You can’t just snap your fingers and transition to a 3 – 4. This is not Madden 12.

With the lack of draft picks and the lack of cap space
We would be very hard pressed to attain even the slightest of success with that kind of transition. We just don’t have the right pieces to even experiment with that now. I love the idea of the 3-4 but personnel is key to making that switch a successful venture.

I just hope Winston Moss will be able to put together a decent staff!
At this point we have to assume it’s him or Bowles.
I really can’t see Allen or McCoy getting our HC job!
Every man for himself...
McCoy looks like an ass fter his comments concerning Bowles and Miami.
Also…Bowles is still under contract to Miami isnt he? They seem to want to keep him there.

Yes he does...
It’s back to Denver OC for him, and I have no doubt that the Tebowmania is nearly finished.
I’d be shocked if Tebow is playing QB for Denver Week 17 2012 and they’re sporting a winning record.
Every man for himself...
I know Elway wants a pocket passing/conventional QB but....
…..after end of 2011-12 campaign he just couldnt come out and shitcan Tebow…that would have caused a PR shitstorm. Look for Elway to name him the starter yet cultivate a draft pick or bring in a vet he feels secure with.

Allen is coming back for a second interview
"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"
Dirty Harry Callahan
Yup
This is what I had feared all along some of the good coaches going elsewhere. I expect to see coaches being brought in and elevated from their previous positions. Hope it works.
Whenever we get a coach he is gonna have to pick his own guys.
Speaking of, Rod is back on the NFL Network he’s still available…
I hope we get resolution soon something anything!
