RUMOR! DMC TRADE IN THE WORKS!!!?
Now i was minding my own business, mowing my lawn and washing my car when i got a very interesting text from raiders report on my iphone. I saw two things. ONE: that Greg Knapp was hired as OC and TWO: DMC is rumored as up for trade! now I don't know if this is true or not but i thought i should bring it to the nations attention. it would be a shame to lose such a dynamic player despite what blocking scheme we run due to the fact that he is just as deadly on screens then he is running the ball. So nation i would like for you to leave comments and if you don't seem worried or don't really care then thanks anyway

I don't think we'll be screwed without him,
But I do not think its a good move to trade him. If he is producing, and he’s happy as a Raider, and ready to go 110% for the new guys. Then keep him. If he’s hemin & hawin, or complaining about money, and not sure about the new guys, then trade him. That’s just how I see it.
“COHESION” I want players who want to play together, and a coaching staff that knows how to put that together. Never gonna get to, and win the playoffs, until we get rid of the prima donna attitudes, GM, coaches & players. I don’t think we have to worry about Mark..
If you ever wanted to see Boise St play...may be a good chance. Love em or Hate em, they are always interesting; and now, no matter where you live, "They're Coming To Your City"
Yes! trade McFadden!
Im sick of this dude. Lets get a first rounder!! I’ll settle for a 2nd rounder..
we’re cheap, like to drink and are pissed off.

Agreed! Lets lock Bush up and see what Taiwan Jones has.

yeah lets lock up a 30 yo out of shape tip toeing 245 pound back! instead of keeping a 23 year old whose proven
to be unstoppable when healthy. Great logic!

Thank you for using the common sense, god bless you with NG !!!
I’ve commented on D-mac’s tender feets before, but we keep him, no matter what, bottom line, end of subject !!! My worst nightmare would be, him staying healthy for the rest of his career, running thru, over and around, the whole NFL, including us. Ohhhh Helll No !!!!!
Yeah, Shellins was going to be a beast too.
DMC is a great talent no doubt about it, but he is brittle just like Glass man himself. Will probably never play a full season and just when you need him most, he’s hurt. Michael Bush has been there for us proving to be a leader and a DEPENDABLE back. We have Jones chomping at the bit to play, and I say lets give him a year to prove himself. The high end pick or picks would go a long way to helping solve our porous defense.

No comparison !!!!
Glassman has NEVER been productive for any amount of time, except in the preseasons !!! As soon as the season get started, he’s down for 10 Games, minimum !!!! He’s done !!!!
Because every pick on defense turns out to be a star right?
And dependable? 3 yards a carry is not dependable buddy. And Mcfadden is in now way close to Schilens, Schilens career games cant even lift mcfadden jock strap. When Schilens is healthy I could name 20 people better than him easily, how many RB’s can you say are better than Dmac when he is healthy…..ZERO! No comparison, I do however applaud your effort.
by NATIONSGREATEST on Feb 2, 2012 12:25 PM PST up reply actions
I would give Mcfadden 1 more year to prove himself. He isn't worth much at the moment being injury prone
What is his contract situation at the moment? Hugh Jackson said he wanted to work hard to redeem himself in 2012. Maybe Nike can make him a better damn shoe to protect his feet.
Reply to NATIONSGREATEST!
You said the magic word, When twinkle toes IS HEALTHY and when has that been? The off season?
The only way I let DMC go
is if he has a fat Peyton Manning bonus due, otherwise, he’s too talented to trade away for a draft pick.
Re-sign Josh Willingham now!

Really
He has one year left on his contract stop with the reports already nobody either he gets released or stays.
There is no way in hell we just release him for nothing when we can trade him for loot, but i want him to stay

Trade DMC...
if we could get some team to give us a few picks. A 2nd & 3rd this year or a 2nd this & next yr. The Browns could be looking for a starter with Hillis leaving. Maybe the Packers too.
After the trade then get the agent of Marshawn Lynch on the phone & get him to come home.
Funny how fast fans turn because of injuries, especially one that wasnt his fault, also
Marshawn Lynch is never leaving Seattle and for the Seymour money he’s gonna get, I DONT WANT HIM!
by NATIONSGREATEST on Jan 31, 2012 10:42 PM PST up reply actions
Again
One productive season out of 4 in the NFL. One 1000 yard season in his career. Meanwhile, you want to get rid of the guy who went to the Pro Bowl and blocked 2 field goals in one game.
Read the post again, I said Lynch was gonna get seymour money and I dont want lynch
I never said I don’t want seymour. And one productive? Try 1 dominant and last year through 6 games was with Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady in the MVP race. So I would count that as pretty productive.

One part of me wants to win
The other part wants to let you guys learn how important he is…the hard way. I want to see what happens when he converts into Charles Woodson 2.0, some people dont understand how much more would this set us back, this means no backfield, Bush is almost 30 and wore down easily, Jones looks fragile too. AND with no backfield…Palmer will have to put the team on his back and we have seen how that looks like. I want to win and if we trade him, sadly, you will see how dumb the decision was.
+1000000000000
People respond like Bush is the 23 year old and mcfadden is the soon to be 30 year old. Bush wont last another 2 years in the NFL, he has one year of AVERAGE left in him. I would gladly let bush and his 3 ypc walk.
by NATIONSGREATEST on Jan 31, 2012 10:44 PM PST up reply actions
Really?
Bush won’t last? The only reason you can complain about his ypc is because he’s out there week after week while SOMEBODY else is in walking boots and on crutches.
+1000
27 year old Michael Bush can do all we need him to. His ypc the last 6 games was attributed largely to teams forcing Carson to beat them by stopping the run.

Seriously, everybody gets hurt sooner or later
12-14 games per year is not horrible for his previous years and he had one horrible injury last year, its not like he is as constantly injured as you make it sound man. He could not come back from the damn injury, lisfranc injuries are almost always season ending, it wasnt his fault he was used as a ploy by Hue that made us hope he could play every week. He should have been on IR immediately upon being diagnosed with a lisfranc. He is only 23, he could come back and go the rest of his career without an injury as serious as this. IDK that he will go without being injured and you dont know he will keep getting injured.

+1
McFadden will be fine on the Raiders for years to come and will probably play most games for us. This injury was serious and as Marcus said we were fed a load of shit on a weekly basis about the injury, he should have been on IR. Bush is a good RB, but not a 40 yard to the house RB threat like McFadden is. The biggest thing we should be doing is keeping Bush so we have the backup and a bull when needed. We need to develope Jones so we have three good RB’s to unleash that remain fresh throughout the whole season.

I understand
We all want him to get healthy and put the injuries behind him forever. But is there any reason to think that will happen? Turf toe, knee problem, ankle problem and even an eye socket problem last preseason.
I don’t have a problem with people saying McFadden shouldn’t be traded. But when they say Bush is a scrub even though he’s been our workhorse ever since he’s got here, that’s just goddamned unreasonable.
I fully 100% agree about Bush, the guy is a beast! Dont belittle him simply because you dont want to trade McFadden
The thing about that long list of injuries DMC has gone through though that shows that he very well could become healthy and stay that way is that none of those injuries happened twice. Every injury has been different. Knee has been fixed and hasnt shown signs of problems, Eye Socket was a freak thing that has healed and shouldnt happen again, Turf Toe sucks and could come back but it is something that lots of athletes go through, and now the Lisfranc that ended his season which is very serious but should be able to heal fine through the offseason.
Michael Bush is no scrub and anybody acting like he isnt special is either in denial or does not know football. He averaged 5 yards a carry on over 200 carries this year, that is impressive no matter how they try to spin it. He is really good too.

Micheal Bush averaged 3.8 yards a carry, sorry to tell you.

And teams never tried to stack the box for DMac huh?
And okay we will make a bet here, if Michael gets stupid money to go start somewhere I will admit I was wrong, but in about 6 months when he’s accepting a backup job somewhere for 2-3 million a year because he can’t swallow his pride to come back, I will gladly accept your apology.

he averaged 5 ypc last year and its over 4 for his career

yep your right my bad, im not sure what i was looking at for 5ypc
however its 4.2 ypc for his career and 4.76 yards per touch last year for rushing and receiving together so thats still pretty damn good. 3.8 is a lot better than 3 though either way

We just brought in a run heavy OC and we are going to trade our #1 RB
Anyone thinking that we would get 1st rounder for McFadden is crazy…the only team crazy enough to make that trade is us. He has shown flashes when healthy but his injuries will alarm many teams. Plus, if we traded him…we would only have Jones left under contract although we could franchise Bush.
You know what would make a good story? Something about a clown who makes people happy, but inside he's real sad. Also, he has severe diarrhea.
Thats a myth
Darren McFadden will easily get us a first, and probably a forth.
Here’s whats gonna happen,
Fresh off a playoff loss to the Houston Texans in which the Cincinnati Bengals were totally unable to move the ball on the ground the Bengals will swap one of thier first-rounders with the Raiders, to acquire the rights to Darren McFadden.
"These type of games are why you do what you do in February, March, April, May when nobody is watching," "It's why you stay up late at night watching film. This is why you do that, to be prepared....Carson Palmer
So potentially that would make the Palmer trade..
either
Raiders trade Darren McFadden and conditional 2nd round pick 2013 for Carson Palmer
or
Raiders trade Darren McFadden, 1st round pick 2012 and conditional 2nd round pick 2013 for Carson Palmer, 1st round pick 2012
Do either of those trades seem more balanced than the Raiders trade 1st round pick 2012 and conditional 2nd round pick for Carson Palmer?
It is not that anyone on here wants to trade DMC
We have some flexibility at running back and We need to sign Michael Bush now or lose him. We can not afford both Michael and Darren, plus we need the pick(s). San Diego playing us in the last game, did not punt. Our defense had a lot of trouble stopping anybody.
And I don’t think McClain or Routt will ever be more than average.
"These type of games are why you do what you do in February, March, April, May when nobody is watching," "It's why you stay up late at night watching film. This is why you do that, to be prepared....Carson Palmer
On the other hand
If Bush is lost to free agency, we’re looking at least a 3rd round compensatory pick. That’s if they don’t have Bush in their future plans.
No way
not on board with trading DMAC. DMAC easily the best player we have on the roster. Look I LOVE Bush (LOL!!) but he can’t do the things on the field DMAC does. I’m just hoping these injuries are him still growing into his added muscle. You don’t give up on this much talent this early in his career…
You just got Tysoned!!!!!!
More to the point
This is all speculation by various sportswriters. Nothing to really get excited about anyway.
No point to a Mcfadden trade. He's one of the few game changers in the game and is relatively cheap.
If someone was willing to part with a top 10 pick then maybe but there’s no way we’d get that. I’d guess a mid 2nd round pick would be all we could get so there is just no value to a trade
Stop the Insanity!!!!!!
We are not trading McFadden. Brittle or not you are not going to find a more explosive free-agent RB for a lower price tag. $5.5 mil a year for a game changer of his caliber is cheap. Let him play out his last two years when he’s going to be playing for a future contract.
We will be fine...
I’ll let our new staff figure this out. DMC has never had a healthy season. We need someone we can count on throughout the season. Go RAIDERS!!!
Name one RB you'd want instead of Mcfadden that could even give us 3/4 of his value
and I’ll show you how many games he’s missed:
Here’s a list of RB’s who have been injured:
Rashard Mendenhall
AP
Michael Bush
Arian Foster
Ben Tate
Ryan Matthews
LT
Shonn Greene
Fred Jackson
Lesean Mccoy
Matt Forte
Demarco Murray
Felix Jones
Peyton Hillis
Knowshon Moreno
Willis Mcgahee
Tim Hightower
Ahmad Bradshaw
Brandon Jacobs
Ryan Grant
Jahvid Best
Pierre Thomas
Mark Ingram
Michael Turner
Deangelo Williams
Jonathan Stewart
Legarrette Blount
Frank Gore
Beanie Wells
Stephen Jackson
Marshawn Lynch
Reggie Bush
Daniel Thomas
Cedric Benson
MJD
Jamal Charles
So to all of you DMAC haters, leave your fairytale world that DMac is the only RB that gets hurt, all of these players have missed several games in their career including your beloved Marshawn Lynch who we will NEVER get. All RB’s get hurt, accept it! we have a great one keep him!

I'd
take AP over DMC anytime. Over a thousand yards 6 out of 7 seasons, including one at 1700. And lo and behold, two full 16 game seasons.
yeah AP is the best back in the NFL
I hadnt thought he had finished any seasons without missing a game, opps

Agreed they all get hurt at one time or another, but has DMAC played a full season in his young career?
