The Raiders return home for the first time in a month to face the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
This is a pivotal game for the Raiders. They should win because the Jaguars are arguably the worst team in football. The Raiders are coming off a hard fought late loss to the Falcons in a game no one expected them to be competitive. It raised expectations of this team and those expectations would be squashed with a loss today.
The Raiders look to continue the momentum they started last week on both sides of the ball. The Jaguars have the worst offense and nearly the worst defense in the NFL so there is no reason they can't stay on track.
Working the Jaguars favor is the same thing that was working in the Raiders' favor last week. They had a bye week to allow plenty of time to prepare for the Raiders. Both teams see this as one of their best opportunities to recover from a 1-4 start.
The Raiders' primary concern will be Maurice Jones-Drew. The Jaguars one win this season was his best rushing performance. The Jaguars are also concerned with the Raiders star running back, Darren McFadden for the same reason.
The dirt is gone from the field and the shield and football grid is here for the remaining six home games. The game is at least at 85% capacity so it should be pretty lively. Let's keep it that way in here as well.
