Because I thought maybe we'd like to take a break from calling for Reggie's head, Allen's head, Knapp's head, Palmer's head, and well hell, just behead the lot of them.

3-5 years down the line, in particular. Because if we're doing full-on rebuilding expect it to take at least that long.
These are the biggest contracts and when they run out:
Darren McFadden 2013
Tommy Kelly 2014
Carson Palmer 2014
Rolando McClain 2015
Darius Heyward-Bey 2013
Richard Seymour 2016
Michael Huff 2014
Tyvon Branch 2015
Mike Brisiel 2016
Some of these players will be gone by 2016, and some are going to have to take a
pay cut. Certainly none of them should expect a pay raise. Assuming we lose,
trade or simply don't resign Kelly, Palmer, McClain, Seymour, that's $19 million
in 2012 cap space right there. But that's also 4 crucial spots that need to be
filled if this team is to compete. McFadden, DHB and Brisiel are probably
looking at pay cuts.
Probably nobody on the O-line is safe from the headsman's axe, as Reggie is not
shy about lowering it. Personally I'm hoping Wiz and Veldheer survive at least,
but the other 3 are on the bubble. Carlisle's and Barnes' contract run out this
year.
Defensively we know we're going to have to replace the middle of the D-line,
and probably McClain as well. Houston is probably on the bubble as well. The
entire secondary is going to be under scrutiny as well.
So in what I'm thinking is a best case scenaro (particularly from the players'
perspective) we're looking at:
WR Denarius Moore
LT Jared Veldheer
LG
C Stefen Wisniewski
RG
RT
TE Brandon Myers
WR Darrius Heyward-Bey
QB
RB Darren McFadden
FB Marcel Reece
RDE Matt Shaughnessy
DT
NT
LDE Lamarr Houston
WLB Miles Burris
MLB
SLB Philip Wheeler
RCB Shawntae Spencer
LCB Ron Bartell
FS Michael Huff
SS Tyvon Branch
In that scenario, trying to draft a QB being the biggest task. I'd love to think Pryor is the future, but there's no sense betting the farm on it. Leinart has already his chances in this league, unless he should happen to pull a Plunkett.

In a far more severe purge, we'd be looking at only 4-6 starters left over from the current line up, which means a lot of really good drafting needs to take place in these next few years. I'm not really expecting us to draft a QB next year, but who knows. Here's a current ranking of the prospects.
Oh, and SBnation, this editor is still half-arse.
