Yet again some Raiders players sent some money to NFL charities. This time it was Aaron Curry and Philip Wheeler who paid the toll.
It was Aaron Curry's first game back since returning from the PUP list for the Raiders. He saw very limited action in the game-mostly on special teams. On the first punt return by the Ravens, Curry was called for a personal foul penalty. Then in the third quarter he was called for another personal foul on a punt return.
It was not a good welcome back for Curry. And the NFL wasn't too happy about it either and gave him their own welcome back by slapping him with fines for both incidents. The fines totaled $23,625. Well, he is a charitable guy so I guess those personal fouls helped make it that much easier.
Phillip Wheeler is also a bit lighter in the pocketbook today. He was fined $7875 for a facemask penalty on a five yard run by Ray Rice in the third quarter.
The Raiders have now been fined in three straight weeks. In week 9 against the Buccaneers Tyvon Branch was fined for a horsecollar tackle and in week 8 against the Chiefs, Richard Seymour was fined for a late hit on Matt Cassel.
