Raiders still without McFadden, Goodson, Seymour at practice

The Raiders returned to practice Wednesday with some usual suspects on the sideline.

Despite constant questions about whether Darren McFadden would somehow miraculously defy medical science and return from a high ankle sprain each week, he is still not practicing. The desperate sportswriting community have succeeded in keeping the fans in suspense over an injury that is pretty tried and true to have a player out 3-4 weeks.

Mike Goodson has the same injury and he too was not practicing. Luckily, Taiwan Jones was practicing full despite leaving Sunday's game with an ankle injury.

The thing is though that Marcel Reece had a fantastic game which means there is no reason to rush either McFaddeon or Goodson back from their injuries. Reece actually played better than McFadden has played all season so perhaps the coaches would just as well take their time bringing him back.

Reece himself was limited in practice with some minor hamstring and quadriceps issues although he should be fine.

Richard Seymour also was not practicing with his ongoing hamstring and knee issues. He, like McFadden and Goodson, has a replacement who is playing at a reasonably high level. Desmond Bryant has been filling in for him and therefore there is no need to throw Seymour back out there not fully healthy.

Tyvon Branch practiced on a limited basis as he had the Friday before the game. He had stiffness in his neck and missed his first start in 57 games. He is expected to return this week.

Other limited in practice were Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring), Denarius Moore (hamstring), and Brandon Myers (shoulder).
