Without a doubt, the quarterback position is the most important on a football team. The signal caller not only touches the ball on every single offensive play, but he also sets the tone for the entire team. Andrew Luck’s humble hard-working attitude is the motivation behind the Colts’ 7-4 start. Tom Brady’s discipline and no-nonsense manner is the reason why the Patriots are always at the top of the league. You get the point.
Terrelle Pryor is the farthest thing from a leader. I’m an Ohio State student and I would like to share a story and give some inside information that proves Pryor is the farthest thing from an NFL quarterback. If only Al Davis knew this when he wasted a third round pick on him… (sigh)
During Terrelle Pryor’s senior campaign, my beloved Buckeyes were cruising to a BCS bowl at the bare minimum. This success inflated his head and turned him into the biggest tool in central Ohio. One time, he went into a Footlocker on campus. He picked out a shoe, looked at the clerk, and threw it at him and said, “size 15, now”. I assure you he did not do this in a playful manner. The clerk replied, “Just because you are the QB doesn’t make you better than me.”
Pryor responded, “Brah, I’m better than you because I could walk into any party tomorrow night and get sucked off by any b**** I want.”
The store clerk told his advisor and rather than telling Terrelle to leave, the advisor fired the store clerk. The special treatment that Terrelle received at Ohio State far exceeds this one story.
Tressel treated him like a God and allowed him to get away with anything. This treatment and Terrelle’s arrogance is something downplayed by the media because no student, player, or coach is ever willing to talk about his shenanigans.
I realize that there are many players in the NFL that received special treatment and acted in this manner. My point is, there is no point in giving TP because he is not franchise quarterback material. We are better off playing Carson since he will help the receivers and tight ends improve while TP’s attitude and demeanor will be detrimental. Not to mention, Pryor is as dumb as a bag of rocks.
Also, keep in mind that there has never been a super bowl winning team with a "wildcat" quarterback. Our team needs one leader, and playing TP will not be good.
