Dennis Allen alludes to drafting Te'o?

In an article recently published by csnbayarea.com, Dennis Allen admits that he doesn't think we have a leader on defense and he believes that the leader must be the mlb. Te'o being a big name thrown around on the forums, sounds like the guy Allen is going to want come draft time.

"I think that's big," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday. "You have your quarterback on offense, you need your quarterback on defense. And because there's a lot of communication that goes on defensively, and most places that you're at, the middle linebacker is kind of the guy that does that for you." - DA

"Omar's kind of taken that role a little bit, with Rolando not playing. And then obviously, I think, Matt Giordano does a nice job back there for us, and so does Tyvon Branch. But I don't know that we have that guy that just steps up and says, 'I'm the guy, and I'm going to make all the adjustments for you.' - DA

With this in mind, It's very difficult envisioning DA passing up on Te'o despite the more pressing need for a stud pash rusher. Drafting the MLB out of Notre Dame is a foundation pick for the future in his mind and based off what this article says, it sounds like we know who our #1 draft pick will be next year
