Marcel Reece, Sebastian Janikowski named Pro Bowl alternates

US PRESSWIRE

There were no Raiders on the Pro Bowl roster this season but two Raiders were named Pro Bowl alternates.

A year after Sebastian Janikowski was named to his first ever Pro Bowl, he is named an alternate. Also being named an alternate for a second straight season is fullback Marcel Reece.

Janikowski takes a backseat to Phil Dawson whose only miss on the season was blocked. Outside of that statistic, Janikowski was most deserving but unless Dawson is injured or opts not to go, he will not be heading back to Hawaii again this season.

Marcel Reece has been the most versatile fullback in the league for a few seasons now. He was named an alternate last season and went to Honolulu when Vonta Leach went down with an injury. He sits behind Leach again this season as a first alternate.

Reece had 767 yards from scrimmage for the Raiders - 496 receiving, 291 yards rushing. He filled in for the injured Darren McFadden for three games and ran for 103 yards against the Saints in week 10. He averaged 4.59 yards per carry on the season.
