Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE

The Raiders have signed FB/RB Jamize Olawale from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad to their 53-man roster, the team announced Tuesday.

The team was looking to fill the empty roster spot from the placing of Rolando McClain on the reserve/suspended list. Olawale is said to be a player Reggie McKenzie has had his eye on for quite some time.

The move gives the Raiders six running back/fullbacks on the roster. Marcel Reece is expected to return to his fullback duties with Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson returning healthy, however, Reece has been nursing a sore hamstring and quadriceps. He has worn a wrap in most practices and walks with a visible limp. No word on what this move signals for any of the current backs on the roster.

The 6-1, 240-pound back is an undrafted rookie who the Cowboys originally signed out of North Texas last offseason.

Olawale has connections to two current Raider players. Prior to transferring to North Texas, he attended El Camino Junior College in Torrence California which is the same school that Raiders FB Marcel Reece attended.

A San Francisco native, Olawale also attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he played with Raiders practice-squad WR Travionte Session.

Olawale will wear number 49 for the Raiders.
