Bush vs. Ben Tate

Being that we have brought over half the Houston Texan's coaches and Ben Tate and Bush in very similar situations what do you think would work out best. Both backs are looking for more of a lead role, even though bush has stated on his twitter that him and DMC are a 1-2 punch. Houston's 1-2 punch was foster and Tate. with DMC and Foster both having injury issues and both being the elite talent on their team it is almost identical. In our current position trading McFadden is a HELL NO!!, he is only due under $6mil next two seasons that's average for RB in the league right now even the franchise tag is way more than what we are paying. But I would rather take Ben Tate and our coaches knowing his running style over Bush. The franchise and trade is always an option, but not sure if teams are willing to pay franchise money and we could possibly get a 2-3 round for him.

Our backfield would look like this DMC/Tate/Jones/and I would so love picking up Doug Martin. Jones/Martin combo would be nice for the future. Then at FB: Reece and Late Draft Pick,Cartwright or Gordon thought he was decent back there in the limited action for blocking.

I voted Tate because he's 4 years younger and

the numbers are very similar except for yds per carry and fumbles…Bush is a very dependable ball carrier…

Big Mike is a stud, and suits us because he has great hands too

he was reliable this year, and deserves our loyalty. Tate’s strong too, but wouldn’t be the dependable target in the passing game that Mike Bush is.

"In football, I root for the Oakland Raiders because they hire castoffs, outlaws, malcontents, and fuck -ups, they have lots of penalties, fights, and paybacks, and because Al Davis told the rest of the pig NFL owners to go get fucked. Someday, the Raiders will be strong again, and they will dip the ball in shit and shove it down the throats of the wholesome, white, heartland teams that pray together and don't deliver late hits." - George Carlin.

i like the thunder and lightening combo

Dmc and jones will tire you out and bush will run them into submission. Tate isnt a power runner

Can't choose

Both can be great for us with the right protection. I’d rather have Bush or Tate than an unproven rookie, minus the contract. As for FA, Marshawn Lynch is an animal! I know he is a #1 but if we could have him backing up DMac…

Bush may cost more than Tate because of his 37 receptions out of the backfield in a back up role last year.

I would really look at the rookie free agent list for HBs that have good hands after the draft.

What Mcfadden and Bush might have this year is real blocking

Who knows they might be way over 1000 yards this year, Who knows maybe we might pick up another bruiser like Bush but better and trade Taiwan.
Maybe someone else on the team can run and carry the rock that one of our new coaches might develop.
