People who think we should ditch Dmac = Crazy!
Getting rid of Dmac would be one of the worst moves Oakland could make.
As far as Bush goes, please get rid of him. He is slow as hell and runs with really no power. Yeah I know he almost got 1,000 yards this year, but Oaklands O line was beasting defenses. His YPC was 3.8, horrible. If somehow Oakland starts 2012 with McFadden gone and Bush starting, it'll definitely be a downgrade. My ideal situation for 2012 would be Dmac, a decent FA backup, and T. Jones......and here's something that would look sexy as I dont know what next year...Wildcat with Dmac, T. Jones, and Ford. Are you kidding me, just imagine that peeps!!

I think people had an overreaction on his injury
Knowing he is our best player and how our offense depends on him….after seeing he was injured again people may have just been too frustrated, mad at him, they dont want him anymore. I dont seem to understand how they have kept the same attitude since though. DMac is due to be Charles Woodson 2.0 if we let him go and Ive been saying that for a long time, we have to keep the best player because we have seen how our offense looks without him. Draft picks wont be another DMac, even if it is the 1st overall…JaMarcuss anyone? DMac is a rare talent…I said this a couple of weeks ago: People say ‘’I would only trade him for a 1st and a 2nd’’ Look, if anyone is ’’crazy’’ (like some of those people have stated) enough to offer the Raiders that much for DMac, then wouldnt you think that he is valuable enough for those picks? I mean, if someone offers that much it means they believe he is worth it, because he actually is. Now, on Bush, I disagree. You say he doesnt run with power yet he is a beast on giving concussions to safeties. Now, he is aging, we have a bigger need at franchising Tyvon and Bush will ask for a lot, something we cant afford for an aging player who showed he wears down with time and is dependent on the O-Line, something DMac…of course…is not. What I am saying is that he is not as bad as the writer says, but he is not as amazing as a lot of peopel say around here. He is impressive as a 2nd stringer, he is avarage as a starter, somewhere near the middle of those. Best thing to do: Keep DMac, let Bush go, franchise Tyvon and bring in a bruising RB in FA, or the draft. I dont expect DMac to get as injured since we will be running a West Coast offense which is like 75% pass and 25% run, instead of our 50/50 late in the year, DMac wont be running 25 times a game but he will be running 15 times. We need to put faith in Carson and hope he plays well enough, We can still be a top 10 offense if we dont mess up too much the offense. This is my opinion though…
Yep
DMC was a MVP caliber player before he got hurt. Some on this site placed him above AP and Arian Foster for best RB. Teams game plan to stop him. When he gets free, he is gone. He is a dynamic player and a game changer. No way I want to trade him. Now, if he gets hurt again in the same fashion this next season, well shit than this can become a real discussion. I think DMC has the potential to be the best Raider running back of all time. We just need to stick it out. If he was healthy, you think we don’t win some of those games we lost? +1 on DMC all the way.

Nailed it
I forgot to point that out, obviously if he gets hurt again, then yeah this will be a fair discussion, but as of right now he is the best RB on the roster….heck the best player on the roster. Maybe at the position in the league. We cant give up on him just yet.

Man, how about Sterling Moore
Watching this kid play is painful…he tackles, trys to strip the ball and PLAYS the ball unlike our boy Routt. What is really painful is you look at his play compared to Mr. 3rd Round pick DVD’s…Don’t know if anyone noticed but DVD doesn’t tackle at all. That one got away lol.
I know,
makes me sad to think we cut him earlier in the season.

Imagine this:
DMac, Peyton Hillis and Taiwan. Peyton Hillis may have had a horrible year this year, but look at the previous year. A better Michael Bush IMO.

Dude your dilusional
Our O-line wasn’t beasting anyone the last 6 games. Michael didn’t have any running lanes, as teams where daring Carson to beat us. We are stocked at RB and Darren is a luxury we can afford to part with to help our pitiful defense. Darren and Chaz both have tender feet, and once someone steps on them they are hurt.
60 mil is a lot of money for someone who only play’s part time.
Let’s give Michael(who has carried this team) a 40 mil contract, and the respect he deserves.
"These type of games are why you do what you do in February, March, April, May when nobody is watching," "It's why you stay up late at night watching film. This is why you do that, to be prepared....Carson Palmer
3.8 ypc or 5.4 ypc?
Same O-line.
Same price, I imagine. I’ll take DMC and the extra dimension he provides.
As for Hillis, no. I don’t want anyone that soft on this team.
you are kidding, right ???
If not, You mustbekidding !!!
You just going to let your most dependable back walk?
Who is going to replace him?
Think we can easily replace him?
Michael Bush is 27 years old and can do it all. While playing The Bolts earlier this year, he had a monster record-setting performance, taking the rock 30 times for 157 yards and a score with a 5.2 YPC. He also racked up 85 receiving yards on 3 catches.
Think Again.

LOL are you serious?
That was the prime example….Put Dmac in that game and he has 220 yards on 20 carries. Get real man, Bush is no where in the same league as Dmac. Even if we let Dmac go I’d want someone else starting besides tippy toeing slow Bush
Dmac couldn't last 1/2 a season in Michael's shoe's
Why do you think Dmac doesn’t get red zone touches? Tippy toeing is not going to get you in the end zone.

LOL dude you are nuts
Listen to yourself man, have you watched both of them play. No way is Bush a better back than Dmac. Let me ask you this, do you think any defenses game planned for Bush? Don’t think so bud. No body in the NFL is scared of Bush. Dmac on the other hand, completely different story. Plus, McFadden is only 24 and Bush is 27. Before you know it Bush will have hit that 30 year old mark and we know what that usually means for RBs. I guarantee you that monster game Bush had against SD would’ve been super super beastly for Dmac. I’ll tell you this much, Carson will play out of this world with Dmac in the backfield. Remember, Carson never got to have the services of Dmac. Just wait and see.
DUDE, Keep your hair on!
I never said Michael Bush was a better back. I said he wouldn’t last 1/2 a season and he hasn’t. We haven’t scared anybody with our passing game and we can’t stop any offense. Teams are loading the box and getting into our backfield before plays can develop. DMC is great when he’s healthy but he runs full outr and sometimes takes bad hits(like BO Jackson). Well Weese, you may get your wish and Bush may walk.DMC will be good until the 6th game, then what? Who’s going to take the load ??? Better think about that one.

trade dmc!
whats the point of having a dynamic running back who cant play half the season? take that shit to jacksonville!
shut up you are not even welcome here anymore
After your post and negativity on all subjects…makes me believe you are a troll too

By the Cash Numbers
2011 Dmc got 8.1 million
2011 Bush got 2.6 million
2012 Dmc will get 6.7 million
2012 franchise tag for a RB is 7.7 million
They should keep DMC and offer Bush 2 years at 4.5 million each with a 3rd year option and some incentives. I don’t see him being worth 7.7 and throwing away DMC for a second round pick and then have to find another RB because Jones aint ready yet.
The franchise tag is a big number added to whatever we would still owe to DMC for 2012 and then paying some defensive second round draft pick and a FA runningback. Best bet is to try and keep the RBs we have and not gamble with prospects and FAs at the RB position.
"Committed To Excellence" Mostly just "Committed" though
I’m shocked that anyone would want to trade DMC. Yeah, he’s been injured the past few seasons, but maybe with the new strength & conditioning coaches we have, he’ll build durability and turn into the MVP we all know he is capable of being.
Trade him away and he’ll have that MVP season with someone else. Just unthinkable.
