S Markelle Martin
Though Martin is considered the third-best player at his position, he is also projected as a third-round pick as this is not the best safety class. However, that is not to sell Martin short on his abilities. Martin may be the best overall athlete at the safety position.
With a solid senior season Martin's draft stock may rise, but as of right now the Raiders should be hoping Martin falls right into their compensatory pick, who many assume will be a third-rounder.Martin tallied 62 tackles (52 solo), 11 passes defensed and two forced fumbles in his senior year. The Raiders may have other pressing needs than safety, but safety is still a huge issue for the Silver and Black. as far as highlights go, i could only find this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to8Jsa13hxE which i cant stop watching over and over again. for his career he got 179 tackles, 3 INT, 1 TD, 39 Passes deflected, and 2 forced fumbles. he seems to be really good in coverage and attacks the ball well with speed and agression

I just dont know if a S is needed more than a LB
I think Wimbley should be a DE and we should adress the OLB position first, we have Branch and I am still in love with Mike Mitchell lol
listen, tyvon’s contract is up! so there is always a possibiltiy he may not come back which leaves huff and mitchell you draft this guy and rotate him back and forth with huff and mitchell. so sometimes it may be this guy and mitchell with mithcell at SS or this guy and huff with huff at FS
huff is going to CB nest year
aar at least he was supposed to until the coaching house clearing
heres our free agents
Jason Campbell
Tyvon Branch
Samson Sateele
Barnes
Chaz Schilens
Michael Bush
considering our salary cap problem we will at least sign one or two back, then we have to keep money for draft picks and free angency
a 3rd round s is guna be a lot cheaper than a resigned branch
im not saying get rid of him im just saying it may hurt us money wise
people gotta stop with Bush
The guy is aging and wore down, showed he is not a 1st stringer and I dont want to pay 8 mill to a 2nd stringer, he depends the O-Line unlike you know who

I would keep Tyvon over Bush if we had the option to only keep 1.
But while Bush was starting he was rarely rotated, and McFadden most likely will be injured next year as he always is just hopefully around 2-3 and im not sure if Taiwan Jones is ready to make an impact at Running Back.
And atleast with Bush he’s durable, you can rely on him not to get injured, unlike you kbow who. But as we saw towards the end of the year, more and more teams just stacked the box for our rushing game and since Bush has no speed he became ineffective.
But yes hes not worth 8 Million, nor is any of our other tailbacks for that matter.
aging????
he is 27 with only 2500 yards on the odometer. He most certainly is not aging! You must have missed this game if you think he is aging

Barnes.....dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out!
He probably gets flagged when he shits at home….
The cowards never started, the weak died along the way....

he may be aging but he sure can get those tough yards
Well, despite his age, he is still able to stay healthy even with all that punishment he takes plus he gets those tough yards up the middle that mcfadden simply can’t get
he may not be fast or catch the ball as consistant as dmc but he can be a #1 back for a lot of teams
he’s like brandon jacobs or michael turner but catches the ball better
I'm all about speed and aggression BUT
This undisciplined hit is exactly whats wrong with how we’ve been drafting the past several years
if this is s new era of the Oakland Raiders, I think we need to start weighing more heavily the attributes of Discipline and Intelligence. While this is a pretty exciting hit, in the NFL, especially as a Raider, it would most certainly draw a personal foul penalty, as well as a hefty fine for this kid. I want players with INTELLIGENCE, this hit happens in a Raiders game, it would most certainly happen on a 3rd down, either on the edge of the red zone, or on the edge of field goal range in the final seconds of a game.
I think we all have to start re-evaluating what a “raider” is. I’m SOOOOOO over the rough n tough intense aggressive smashmouth method of old. IT DOESNT WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. IN this league, you must have discipline and not extend drives unecessarily by commiting penalties. You must adjust “on the fly” to changing formation looks on boths sides of the ball. You have to be smart enough to call audibles, recognize play developing and ball flow, this list goes on and on. Making “the big hit” is meaning less and less to me. I would rather see flawless form and open field tacking method than the “highlight hit” that draw the personal foul penalty.
I almost fucking choke when (and I’ve seen it several times) when our defense makes “some big hit” and starts doing some stupid little dance on the field. YOUR IN YOUR OWN REDZONE AND YOU JUST LET THEM DRIVE 80YARDS DOWN THE Field. What exactly are you celebrating?
