He signed with the jets in hopes of relief duty for Mark Sanchez in case he struggled or got injured.Apparently he wants an opportunity to play somewhere and I believe Oakland is a perfect fit. I'm not saying I want this man to take Carson's place, but it is always nice to have a young and hungry backup Quarterback who wants to win in case of injury. We all know what it is like to have a backup quarterback who gets an opportunity and looks like a deer in headlights (Kyle Boller).
Now I wouldn't trade for him, but I would definitely sign him if he was released. He performed well when Mathew Stafford went down with injury and has experience not only playing, but winning. He was rated very highly coming out of high school and college and was drafted in the second round by the Lions.
