Michael Huff will be back for the Raiders this coming year and he won't be moved to corner; he'll be the starting free safety. While there were times that Huff was exposed and his mistackles were very notable (mostly because they led to big[ger] plays), they were often at the tail-end of multiple failures at the first two levels. Huff is clearly a very skilled physical athlete and there's great evidence here and there of his fantastic potential; as of yet, it's not quite realized, but he should be a major key to the Raiders defensive play in 2012. He has already met with head coach Dennis Allen and is excited about the direction of the defense and his role in it; which is very exciting.
If Allen and defensive coordinator Jason Tarver can set up a defense to use Huff's strengths and Huff can take the next step, the defense could surprise.
