Ninja Goro reviews the 2011 NFL Season with Madden Football

The best reason--and for me, it is the only reason--to get Sirius Satellite Radio is Sirius NFL Radio Channel 88. I listen to The Morning Drive on the way to work and catch Moving the Chains on the way home and in between there's The Blitz. While at times it can get bogged down and repetitive (especially in the offseason), there is just so much good knowledge and information there that I can't imagine going without it. What I also appreciate about Sirius is that the personalities and the presentations are more informational and even-handed. There's no Jamie Dukes, Warren Sapp, Deion Sanders, or Michael Irvin on the radio. Yes, Sirius NFL Radio is worth my money. But there's one thing that really elevates Sirius to warranting my subscription. During the season, once a week for one hour, they have a program called Madden Football hosted by Rich Gannon and Adam Schein.

Every Wednesday for 1 full hour (minus commercials it works out to be around 45 min) Rich and Adam speak with our former coach and discuss the results of the game during the past weekend as well as covering Madden's opinion on various stories around the NFL.

And when they discuss the Raiders, you get his special insight and special viewpoint. And as usual, there were plenty of stories around Oakland. Al Davis' passing, the Carson palmer trade, Hue Jackson firing and Reggie McKenzie hire. While we've lost one great this past year, the other great face of the franchise is still active and we can tune in and listen to him and get that nice taste of not only someone that knows the Raiders, but someone that loves the Raiders even more than the most fervent fans. If you don't love John Madden, you don't love Raider football!
