It can be hard to keep track of all the undrafted free agent signing by the Raiders. The names come quickly. But now worries, just keep it here and I will update this list as the signing come in.
Here is the list of udfa player signings thus far:
Marquette King, P, Fort Valley State
Big legged punter signs a reported three year deal with the team.
Lucas Nix, OG, Pittsburgh
Had a mid round grade by many but was falling on boards coming into the draft. 6-5, 303 projects as a right guard. Good fit for the zone scheme.
Derek Carrier, TE/WR, Beloit
Paid the Raiders a visit this offseason. 6-3, 238 (4.5 40 yard dash) and 40 inch vertical leap
Dominique Hamilton, DT, Missouri 6-5, 313
Aaron Henry, FS, Wisconsin
Mid round grade. 6-0, 208 (4.54 40 yard dash)
Conroy Black, CB, Utah
They got a speed guy: 4.3 40 yard dash.
Chaz Powell, CB, Penn State
Played both wide receiver and cornerback in college. Has great size for a corner at 6-1, 208. Has some talent but hasn't put it together yet. Is a prime practice squad type guy who could eventually switch to safety.
Thomas Mayo, WR, California (PA)
A real sleeper type pick. Has come a long way and worked very hard to get where he is today. Decent size at 6-1, 210 pounds with great athleticism. Has great hands but also has concentration drops.
Brandon Carswell, WR, USC
Native of Milpitas CA just South of Oakland in the East Bay. Didn't have many stats for USC catching just 18 passes as a senior and 16 passes as a junior. 6-1, 290 pounds.
Kaelin Burnett, DE, Nevada
6-4, 225 pounds. Had 51 tackles and five sacks as a senior. Native of Bellflower CA.
Corey Gatewood, CB, Stanford
Seems more like a Jason Tarver courtesy signing for one of his former players. Very little production from Gatewood in college.
Dan Knapp, OL, Arizona State
No relation to Raider offensive coordinator, Greg Knapp, although football does run in his family. His father played linebacker at Nevada. Listed on ASU website at 6-5, 277 which means he is probably more like 6-3. Converted tight end became starter at offensive tackle as a senior.
Mario Kurn, LB, San Diego
The only FCS player on the Ted Hendricks 2011 preseason watch list for best defensive end in college football. Led all of FCS with 17 sacks and 27 tackles for loss as a junior.
Rod Streater, WR, Temple
Raphael Guidry, DT, Kansas State
Brandon Rutley, RB, San Jose State
All WAC second team. Also a kick return specialist. Is considered a breakaway threat though his 40 time is not great (4.62). Not a bruiser either at 5-10, 200 pounds.
