This is a quick run down of my early projections of our 3-4 defense and 4-3 defense (I think 4-3 defense will be our base).

3-4 defense:

DL

Houston/Crawford--Ivey/Kelly/Bryant/whoever is big enough to be here--Seymour

LBs

Shaugnessy--Curry--McClain--Burris

The problem when lining up with a 3-4, is that we need to figure out who our NT, DE opposite Seymour, and MLB are. I'm set with Burris and Shaugnessy at OLB. I think they fit there, and have the ability to start. I don't expect us to incorporate the 3-4 more until 1-2 years form now. Right now, its only an experiment. I can say that McClain will probably be better served in a 3-4, and maybe Houston but thats it.

4-3 defense:

DL

Houston/Crawford--Kelly--Seymour--Shaugnessy

Curry--McClain--Burris

I think the 4-3 is more likely. Its pretty simple, we have the players for it, and its their natural positions (outside of McClain and maybe Houston).

Thats just my early predictions. Nothing more. Im more intrigued about our secondary. I think they will be key for us in the upcoming season. Certainly coaching will greatly help our defense improve. Looking forward to see what they are capable of next season.
