The Jets just cut their backup lineman, Ropati Pitoitua. He's 6'8 315lbs, and has some experience. He may be the big guy we missed out on in Alameda Ta'amu. I know Dennis Allen is on record saying Tommy Kelly will be his NT, and I'm not vetting this guy as a starter or anything. But in any case, I think he'd be a great warm body for camp. I'd rather have a veteran than some UDFA from a small school. No offense to small schools, I just would rather someone who's done dirt in the NFL, and knows what it takes to make a 53 man roster. It makes everyone fight just a bit harder. What do you all think?
