The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent center Colin Miller, the team announced Tuesday. Miller was in training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Miller was originally signed by the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Central Michigan prior to the 2011 season. He played in 47 career games with 46 starts during his collegiate career, earning second team all-Mid-American Conference honors following both his junior and senior campaigns.
He is expected to add depth behind Stefen Wisniewski as the team heads into mini camps. The Raiders were in need of adding another center to the team with just practice squad player Alex Parsons as the only depth at the position.
Rookie mini camps start this week with the first veteran OTA's kicking off May 14.
