Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford (12) warms up before the game against the Dallas Cowboys at O.co Coliseum.
Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford has exited their preseason week two matchup with the Arizona Cardinals with an apparent ankle or foot injury. He made a nine yard catch midway through the first quarter and came up hobbling.
He immediately called for the sideline to replace him in the lineup and hopped to the bench. Afterward he was trying to walk it off and was seen limping back and forth along the sideline. He was then taken to the locker room to get it checked out.
This is a concern for Ford who was out much of last season with an ankle injury he sustained a sprained foot in the week nine matchup with the San Diego Chargers. That injury had him missing five games. We await word on what the injury is and its severity. But being that it's the preseason, I wouldn't expect to see him again until the regular season begins.
UPDATE: The injury turns out to be another foot sprain for Ford. Coach Allen said he will have more on the severity of the injury tomorrow.
