Is anybody dying to see lamar Houston moved inside full time to his natural position defensive tackle? Yes he is a solid strong side end but the few games he played inside his rookie season he was outstanding.
On the outside he is king sized but not quick for an end.On the interior he still has enough size but is quick to explode on run plays and can be very disruptive.
The argument against is we already Have Seymour and Kelly inside.Love Seymour and Houston inside with Kelly at strong side end better.Kelly is the least impressive run stuffer of the 3.Seymour gets more double teams then anybody on the line and he usualy has the most pressures and generally has to be accounted for.Kelly has had nice back to back years be he can get stone walled at times against the run.Actualy a good situation to have because they are all good players but Houston is the young high motor guy on the line and i think it would be nice if the raiders at least switched to this configuration periodicly if not using it as their base.
Unnecesary? am i a bit off? or maybe just a year early.
