Every year we hear how these things will be fixed.And every year they are glaring weaknesses.

1.PENALTY'S.Every yearwe hear it will be brought under controll.And every year we are at the bottom of the league.Hue Jackson was the last one to ramble on about how it will get fixed"gauranteed" all the way to the final game."there is still a game left so we can still fix it!".Then when it didn't get fixed he blamed the team for being stupid and took no responsibility.Hue and his snake oil thankfully vacated Oakland.

2.RUN DEFENSE.This one hurts because we have a very good big physical defensive line.Unfortunatly a static scheme poor linebacking and shakey run support from the safetys(Huff,Overated Branch and now Injury prone and out of sync Mitchell)have led to this weakness.Most the games we stop 70% of the runs only to watch 6-7 run plays go for a games worth of yardage.Has to stop.

3.INJURYS.Every year we seem to be making due with a glut of key players often at the same position and have rarely seen 11 starters play on either side of the ball....for years.Maybe back to the Gruden days.Thia has forced us to continualy say " if healthy"...

#1 and #2 I hold Allen and Tarver responsible.No excuses.We have the Defensive line and now the freedom of Scheme.They will have to then get discipline from the linebackers and safetys.If those two units play decent we have a good chance because i expect the line to get it done.Allen is supposed to be Mr non nonsense so its on him to prove he can get the penalty situation under controll.

Injurys however we just have to catch a break.We already have injurys to Moore,ford,Curry and Lechler as well as many key players who arent practicing as a precaution.So far not out of cvontroll but im getting worried.

After the Opener if i see we have a ton of penaltys,have given up 180 plus yards rushing and have a grip of subs covering for starters,especialy several at the same position...I will have a hard time not being scepticall even after one week.This is the same measuring stick we fail yearin and year out.
