We have received official word from the Raiders on running back Mike Goodson's injury status. He was carted off the practice field around 4:30 this afternoon and was taken to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center. As of 8:00 pm he is back at the team hotel.

Here is the official statement from the Raiders:

"The Raiders received encouraging news Tuesday night from doctors treating Mike Goodson, who left the practice field with a neck injury, with movement in his extremities, during the team's training-camp practice. Goodson's CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test were negative. He has returned to the team's training-camp headquarters at the Napa Valley Marriott."

No word yet on if he will return to practice tomorrow or how long he may be out if at all. But the news is great not just for Goodson and his family but for the Raiders who will be needing Goodson to be healthy this season.
