After my much needed 48-72 hour cooling off period I've decided to make a post;
For the past two years our raiders have been on the bubble of breaking the last decade of shame. Monday night was no difference than a summary of our last two years! We dominated on Defense against the Run but in return we could not do what we have been doing for the past few years, RUN THE BALL.
Even though, McFadden was over 50% of our offense we cringe at the fact "what if he goes down" think about this raider nation what if we did not have McFadden Monday night? would it be 3 and out every offensive possession?
Last year are DEFENSE couldn't stop a sloth climbing a 3-foot pole! Already this DEFENSE under coach Allen has shown that we are well ready too move on pass those days holding SD to 5 field goals and one touch down when there avg. field position was Oakland's own 40-something yard line.
In closing, our DEFENSE has tons of veteran presence I.e Seymour, and Kelly they carry our young guys like Houston on the front line. As far as the middle, even though Wheeler is new to the team and McClain has had his ups and downs Burris looked like a stud due to a few veterans. Our secondary is a direct reflection of our front 7 so I believe once they connect on all gears it doesn't matter who we have on the corners. OUR PASS RUSHING AND RUN STOPPING FRONT SEVEN SHOULD CARRY THE DEFENSIVE UNIT ALL YEAR LONG
As far as the OFFENSE goes, who do we have???? Carson Palmer???? maybe DHB (thats reaching) who has been around the block to pick our young receiving corps up after a tough loss like this besides Carson! Not only that who is going to step up and take DMC workload if he goes down *KNOCK ON WOOD*
