What have I said to some of you? That we could very well lose this game.
Miami has held our number for a while now, and our bad luck on the East Coast continues.
Our run defense was humbled by a good RB in Bush, and I thought our passing defense did pretty well.
What I really liked though was how much pressure we were getting from the front 4. This is what I expect. Our offense kept getting stalled. Some bad throws, and some bad OL play. McFadden, again, could not get it going, and I am now getting frustrated with the zone blocking scheme. Knapp play calls were meh, but it's also hard not to notice the execution remains an issue as well. Perhaps going back to the power blocking scheme will help greatly. McFadden needs to break off some runs and be a force to help this offense. Palmer on his shoulders is not enough.
It seems that we won't be getting very many turnovers with this defense. It looks built to sack the QB, but we are so far inconsistent with that. We NEED to get a CB in the draft next offseason.
0-2 and now playing Pitt next week. This is looking like a long season by the Raiders. Hope Burris is okay. I saw him walk off at one point in the game.
Props go to Goodson, who made some big plays. Palmer looked good, but not great. Passing game was noticeably better with Moore. Glad to have him back.
We'll see how this season goes along, but as I said, Miami has held our number for a few years now. If the Raiders get a win against Pitt, then I'll be ecstatic. However, it's looking like the Raiders are in no position to make any splashes in the division. It's still early though, and my mind could easily be changed. Help me out here Raiders? Please?
