I was at a low after the loss to Miami, and I had my doubts facing Pittsburgh.
I said countless times leading up to the game that we would have to win with our passing game. And we did. Palmer has been doing well all season, and once we went no huddle and called many passing plays, I watched as Palmer was single handedly keeping this Raiders team in the game.
But there were some surprises here. For one thing we have committed only THREE penalties. No lie. ONLY three.
Another surprise is our defense creating two turnovers out of creating 3 fumbles. Of course, that partly has to do with the players lack of securing the ball, but the Raiders capitalized, and made the plays, and with the game on the line, Burris caught Ben from behind to force an incomplete pass on 3rd and long, punting the ball to a hot Raiders offense who led down the field for the winning score.
I have said that you should all be patient. That it takes time for a scheme to work out. We still need to give it a game or two more to see consistency now.
