Which brings me to my next question, what is the best plan of action for Oaklands 3rd overall pick?
Last year, the 3rd overall pick was traded for the 4th overall pick, as well as a 4th, 5th, and 7th round pick. Two years ago, the Browns traded their 6th overall pick for the 27th overall pick, to go along with Atlantas 2nd and 4th round picks from that year, as well as their 1st and 4th round pick in the next draft. In the 2010 draft, the 11th pick was traded for the 13th pick and a 4th round pick. The 13th pick then traded for the 24th pick and two 3rd round picks. So all in all, it was the 11th overall pick for the 24th, two 3rd round picks, and a 4th round pick.
These trades are greatly influenced by the players that are available as well as team needs, but history shows us that Oakland can move down a few picks in the first round, and receive a premium for doing so.
The Raiders are without a 2nd round and a 5th round pick. Oakland needs depth. Trading down and stock piling picks would be the best course of action.
