With the 3rd pick in the NFL draft the Oakland Raiders
select....Star Lotulelei DT, Utah. Many other fans of the raider nation want this pick. At 6'3 320 pounds, Star has been dominant at his posistion. With Richard Seymour
most likeley gone next year, Star will more than make up for his play.It is relitivly hard for people to find game tapes and highlights on this guy, but he is very strong against the run and clogs holes to provide a chance for our athletic linebackers to make plays.
Third round. Andre Ellington RB, Clemson. Why take a runningback in the third round? Wel if Andre is there how can you not. This kid can play ball and is often looked over. With Mike Goodson's
contract ending, Ellington would be a good back to sign a 4 year deal with. He's a hard runner who somehow always finds a way to stay on his feet. He's not a true burner but he is fast. If he's there we should take him.
In the fourth round, we should select.... wait fot it, wait for it. Alot of peoples going to be mad about this pick. Tyrann Mathieu CB,LSU. We all know of his off the field struggles. We also all know of Dennis Allens coaching style and how he is trying to transition this roster to be men of character ,as some would say. But why not give this kid a shot if he is available in the fourth round. He is currently being drug tested regularly and is getting ready for the draft. Before all his troubles he was a heisman candidate as a return man and defensive back. This guy makes plays. He has a nak for getting turnovers. Tyrann would fit well with Tyvonne Branch and Michael Huff
in the secondary. We need help at the cornerback position and if this guy straightens up he could be a huge steal. All in all, i believe Tyrann can turn it around and he is a true Al Davis type pick.
In the fifth round I think we should go with an offensive lineman beacause it looks like there will be a few good ones available late. Probably some with more value than my next pick as well but... Raiders select Kyle Long OL, Oregone. Football is in this kids blood...Raiders is in this kids blood. Put him in the silver and black. We all know who his father is, Howie Long. At 6'7 311 Kyle is a tough player. He's very physical and any coaches think he can be great. his biggest downfall is playing time and experience. He only played for Oregon for one season after playing Juco. He also played baseball at Florida state but left for academic reasons.
