The season may be over but is the NFL season ever really over? The offseason is almost as busy as the regular season for the NFL and there are many dates to remember.
As soon as the regular season is over, the preparation for the next season begins post haste. The Raiders aren't in the playoffs but that doesn't mean there aren't things to watch and dates to remember. Aside from the College bowl season which is in full swing and culminates in the National Championship game January 6.
Here are some of those important dates and events coming up:
Jan. 11: Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game; Tucson, Ariz.
Jan. 19: East-West Shrine Game; St. Petersburg, Fla.
Jan. 19: NFLPA Collegiate Bowl; Los Angeles
Jan. 26: Senior Bowl; Mobile, Ala.
Jan. 27: Pro Bowl; Honolulu
Feb. 2: Texas vs. Nation Game; Allen, Texas
Feb. 3: Super Bowl XLVII; New Orleans
Feb. 20-26: NFL Scouting Combine; Indianapolis
March 12: Free agency and trading begins
April 25-27: NFL Draft
May 10-12: Raiders rookie minicamp
May 20 (10 dates) thru June 6: Raiders Organized Team Activities
June 11-13: Raiders mandatory minicamp
June 23: NFL Rookie Symposium
