During one of Dennis Allen's final press conferences before the San Diego game, he was again asked about the lack of interceptions made by the team leading up to that weekend's game. Both Dennis Allen and Jason Tarver reiterated that through hard work and determination the interceptions would come. Dennis Allen even seemed to have a sly grin on his face as he said it, almost a pirates grin, if you will. I remember thinking at the time, "What does he know that we don't?" Well, the interceptions came, and not a game too soon. Usama Young, DJ Hayden, and Charles Woodson each notched their first interceptions of the season, respectively. This certainly was a highlight, but not the only positive that came from the game.
Both the defense and special teams had excellent performances not to mention a phenomenal game offensively by Terrelle Pryor, Denarius Moore, and Rod Streater to name a few. Mychal Rivera was called for another phantom pass interference, which I believe in both cases left the TV commentators in disbelief, which in the case of former Charger QB Dan Fouts, really says something. Despite the refs, Rivera is out making plays.
With this in mind, who either surprised and/or really impressed you in this game? Too many to say? We've got a selection for that.
