The Raiders game may be over but that doesn't mean your day of watching football is. There are three afternoon games you rabid fans will be watching once the Raiders are done. One of those games features two division rivals facing off.
The Broncos head to San Diego for the first division match-up in which neither team was the Raiders. That's right, we are halfway through the season and this is the FIRST time any other AFC West teams have faced each other. Even more interesting is the Raiders have faced ALL THREE division rivals already this season. Finally, they can start beating up on each other.
The Broncos should beat up on the Chargers but the Chargers have been one of those mysterious teams this season. They get handled in Oakland by the Raiders in week five and then go and beat the then 4-1 Colts the following week. That was the last game the Colts lost.
Oh yeah, the Colts are also the only team in the league to beat the Broncos. They did it on Monday Night Football in what was supposed to be Peyton Manning's triumphant return to Indianapolis.
Both the Broncos and Chargers have pretty bad defenses. The Broncos defense is certainly worse but their offense is absolutely better. Should be fun watching these two teams go at it.
There are two other games on tap for those either not interested in this game or not in an area televising it. The Panthers play the cross bay rival 49ers and the Texans visit the Cardinals.
So, it seems there are reasons to watch all three of these games. The Texans vs Cardinals because the Raiders play the Texans next week and they are playing against former Raiders quarterback, Carson Palmer.
