Terrelle Pryor left late last week against the Eagles with an apparent knee injury. At the time he said it was not serious and his removal was purely a precaution. Following the game against the Giants Sunday, he was singing a different tune. This time he may have more serious damage in the form of a sprained MCL as he told the media following the game.
#Raiders Terrelle Pryor said he has sprained MCL in knee & is "very sore. ... Just need rest a little, try to get back as fast as possible."— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) November 10, 2013
Pryor practiced full all week and he said Friday that he was a little banged up but "felt very good". He entered the game with a brace on his knee and was clearly not 100% as a runner. He was slow to get moving and quick to slide at the first sign of a defender.
If Pryor does miss some time, this would open the door for undrafted rookie Matt McGloin to start. The Raiders would also likely activate rookie fourth round pick Tyler Wilson from the practice squad as depth behind McGloin. Another possibility is signing a free agent (Hey, Matt Flynn is available.... crickets).
