The Raiders have announced they have added Greg Jenkins from the team's practice squad to the active roster. He replaced Juron Criner who heads to injured reserve.
Jenkins came to the Raiders as an undrafted free agent this off-season. The converted quarterback out of Alabama State showed enough potential as a receiver to earn a spot on the Raiders' practice squad this season. The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder played two years at Alabama State, throwing for 3,166 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Raiders drafted Juron Criner in round five of the 2012 draft. He had 16 catches for 151 yards in 12 games as a rookie last season. He has been inactive most of this season, seeing action in just one game this season against the Eagles where he caught three passes for 32 yards. He had been surpassed on the depth chart by rookie round seven pick, Brice Butler and then found himself behind Andre Holmes as well once Holmes returned from a 4-game suspension to begin the year.
