As of right now the Raiders are a wreck, with plagued injuries and lack of play has caused why we can never finish a game, even when we need it the most. I'm not speaking on all raider fans, but I will say that Oakland has taken 100 steps backwards. Call it rebuilding, or whatever you want, these past two years have been nothing but sad and frustrating. To see your team give up leads or game winning drives hurts so damn bad, especially if you know that it's coming, to see it just makes it worse. Now as i look at our team as a whole, I'm thinking the problem starts from the head guy down, Reggie Mckenzie, has gotten us fine picks for the future, yes they have to develop but why is this always the trend, Why can't we have our Calvin Johnson or Adrian Peterson, Seems like every team has a beast player but us. We don't have a home run threat, or a dominant defensive player, we have good players. So why i say this, because Reggie cuts Tyler Wilson who is our 4th round pick which is a total waste. Hayden is injured and lost for the season and he is our 1st rounder, Murray we lose for the whole season, Bass we cut who ends up doing well in Chicago. Not to say it was a bad draft, but neither has it been good. Now lets talk about the FA signing he has done, Which looked very good on paper, but lets look at the results, we still play the same. Stats don't mean anything if you lose.
As for the special team? Yes we have one, and we have 0 TD's so far. No explosiveness from what we had before. I'd rather just fair catch or take a touch back from here on out.
Our defense, is a roller coaster. Were in beast mode then were the jags defense after that maybe even worse sometimes. Tarver has had his up's and downs but seems so predictable, wanna see it? Romo, gets pressured and adjust half time, game over, no defense. It's like he is a one trick pony, once his schemes are discovered, he can't come up with something to stop a hot offense. Blame it on the roster you have, its no excuse, I feel he has the guys to do it, because it works in one half.
On to the guy at the helm of our team. Dennis Allen, i'm not sure to be pissed at you for letting 21 unanswered points happen, but as a coach, to me if your team is not finishing games, it must be because they don't believe in you. Maybe he lacks experience, he is the youngest coach in the NFL and we have seen his flaws, especially with timeouts at the end of the game. We have almost the most penalties every damn year and it hasn't changed, He is a defensive minded coach so he is so damn conservative, he tries to win games with our defense, when we don't have a consistent one. At this point, whether DA stays or not, I believe we just need a true veteran coach, because i feel if this keeps happening every year, were never going to get out of the rebuilding stage. I just can't stand to see us Raiders fans lose hope every year.
And now its time for Olson, well he is better then the guy we had last year who's name isn't even worth to be mentioned. Yes he gave us a running game, but if we can't march down the field consistent then it means nothing. For me Olson is so damn irritating some times, he likes to do reverses that don't work or pick long developing routes on 3rd and short, which is funny because i seen that today. The offense needs a spark that we can actually say " we got this, were going to score easily" but noooo, we're begging for the miracle the never happens. Then 3 and out, we punt.
For the most part i'm just disgusted how the season is going, pretty sure you are as well.
