Raiders vs Chiefs game day guide: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, storylines

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Raiders are about to embark on their three game trip through the AFC West to finish out the season. First up is the Chiefs. The Raiders already lost to the Chiefs this season. That was in Kansas City with a different quarterback behind center.

In that game Terrelle Pryor was sacked nine times and threw three interceptions to turn a once close game into a blowout loss. Now Matt McGloin will get a shot at the Chiefs. Unfortunately, now the once pleasantly surprising Raiders defense is now a shadow of its former self from early this season so what happens at quarterback may not matter much.

Here are the details of the game:

Who: Oakland Raiders (4-9) vs Kansas City Chiefs (10-3)

Where: O.co Coliseum, Oakland CA

When: 1:05pm Pacific time, Sunday December 15 2013

TV: CBS (Live locally)

Radio: 95.7 The Game (Bay Area)

Online: NFL Game Rewind (after 9pm PST)

The Raiders are coming off a devastating loss to the Jets last week which looked to be the most winnable game of the final four games. In the first half, they were beaten in all three phases of the game and the second half it was the Raiders' defense which collapsed for the final score of 37-27.

Matt McGloin threw a couple touchdown passes in the second half after doing nothing in the first half aside from throwing an interception inside his own ten-yard line. Despite his three interceptions the past three weeks, he still continues to show good skills in this offense and has once again been named the starter.

Marcel Reece had a great game in place of Rashad Jennings who was out with a concussion. Jennings has since been fully cleared of his concussion symptoms and will start Sunday.

The loss to the Jets moved the Raiders into what is currently sixth in the draft order. They aren't mathematically eliminated but it is such a long shot, there is little bother with scenarios. If you were in any way curious, their playoff chances would officially end with either a loss to the Chiefs, a Ravens win, or a Dolphins win. If any one of those things happen this week, the Raiders are officially out.

Returning to practice this week was Mike Brisiel who is expected to start at right guard after missing last week with lower leg injuries.

Not practicing this week was Vance Walker who suffered a concussion against the Jets.

The Chiefs added wide receiver and kick returner Dexter McCluster to their injury list this week. They already had left tackle Branden Albert out. Justin Houston returned to practice this week but he won't play Sunday.

Following Tyvon Branch being listed as doubtful for the game, he was officially shut down for the final three games and placed on injured reserve.
