A couple facts we need to know about rebuilding

So far Raider fans are getting a first hand look on how it really feels to rebuild a team and let me tell you, it is far different from how Al Davis rebuilt a team loL! Never in the history of the raiders have we seen so much devastation. However, we have been exercising patience we never thought w had, but here's a few things people need to remember about this rebuild in Oakland green bay style. Now Reggie may have been a Raider years ago, but his knowledge of how to build a team is rooted in Green bay traditions mixed with a little bit of Raider mentality. So far we know that he likes players from small schools who play hard. Those are the kind of players you see playing the early bowl championship games during the holidays like Northern Illinois, Conneticut, Harvard, Cornell, etc, etc! When you think of how Green Bay drafted all of these years its the same way Reggie Mckenzie is drafting now, passing on the high profile players seen on tv every week and going after the players who have the size he likes with great football skills. For example, Mile Burris who is a bit undersized for a OLB as far as height is concerned but, when you watch him play he is always around the ball making a tackle. The "Scranton Scrapper" Mr Matt McGloin is another example of what kind of eye Reggie has for talent. Now granted he has only won one game since his first appearance in the regular season, but you see the skill he does have and you start understanding what Reggie wants. I thought Tyler Wilson had what he wanted but McGloin crushed him in training camp and since then he's never recovered from that so well smh...but whatever! The WR position is interesting because, we've been looking for them to step up all season and they go up and down with being a great core of players during this season. Here's an interesting question I want some of you to answer yourselves, "when was the last time you saw Green bay draft a wide receiver high in the draft outside of Jermichael Finley (TE)?" Donald Driver was an undrafted, I couldn't tell you where Greg Jennings played in college and James Jones is a mystery as well. Yet they are all good receivers with size and decent speed.

Now defensive players are mixed together to make one hard nosed defense with bout one leader at each level of the defense. Reggie White was the man in Philly and in Green bay on D-line for years, SO with that said I don't know if jadayveon Clowney is Reggie Mckenzie's kind of player at defensive end, but I know that Kelcy Quarles DT is...why he is the strong silent type that just does work! Clowney is a great athletic Defensive End but if you look at all the pressure the Gamecocks get on the QB its coming from the middle more often. Players like Aaron Donald are also more his style. Check the recent acquisition of Sam Montgomery, if you remember he came and did a walk through with the Raiders just day or so later after being released from the Texans. Reggie is a diabolical GM that quietly goes after players he likes. So if you are wondering who were going after in the draft look deeper into the player rankings. I'm confident that Mckenzie is rebuilding this team the right way I just wish that we didn't have to lose doing it.

If you are curious to know who he takes with the first pick this year just get ready to trade down somewhere towards the middle or bottom end of the draft! That is if we don't get low balled for our top 10 pkick. Let me know what you guys think if you have deeper info please share.
