One of the Raiders top free agents, Desmond Bryant has joined the exodus. He signs with the Cleveland Browns.
The latest free agent to leave Oakland and cash in elsewhere is Desmond Bryant who signed with the Cleveland Browns today.
The former undrafted free agent out of Harvard, used his business savvy to parlay a solid second half to last season into a big free agent contract in Cleveland. He joins Philip Wheeler who left to sign with the Dolphins today.
Bryant led the Raiders in sacks last season (4.0), posting a sack in each of the final four games. He did this despite not seeing sitting behind starting defensive tackle Richard Seymour the first half of the season.
Now, Seymour's contract has been voided and Bryant was in line to replace him permanently. His departure leaves the Raiders without a 3-tech defensive tackle.
It seems logical at this point to expect the team to attempt to sign a replacement in free agency as well as choose one in the upcoming draft.
