A lil breaking news here, The chiefs have agreed to a five year deal with Dwayne Bowe. With acquiring Alex Smith the chiefs major responsibility became to retain Bowe anyway possible. Bowe is one of the most talented wide receivers in the league and him remaining a Chief helps Alex smith big time as well as the whole team. They didn't use the franchise tag to sign him. With the franchise tag period ending Branden Albert got franchised tagged LAST MINUTE by the Chiefs. Chiefs are making moves. Raiders?.....

The Raiders have decided not to put the franchise tag on anyone. Franchise tag deadline has passed and the Raiders didn't put a franchise tag on any of the UFA players to be. The ones that come to mind were Desmond Bryant and Philip Wheeler. They both need to resign with the team, they're impact players for this defense. Desmond Bryant has had the issue we all know of by now ( That famous mug shot) but he is a really good talent. Shows way to much promise to be let go. So what's next? Who do the Raiders talk too and resign?

Free agency starts in eight days; however teams have the right to start speaking to players a couple days before that. The question now becomes who do the Raiders start their talks with and who they resign before free agency starts. If they decide to let the players really test the market they're risking the chance of players going elsewhere for a better deal. The first player that comes to mind that needs to get a deal done and fast is Philip Wheeler. Wheeler had a great season. He had some poor games here and there but who didn't in this horrible season for the defense? He was a big bright spot and the best move Reggie has done as GM so far along with drafting the talented Burris and getting Streater as a undrafted rookie. Philip Wheeler totaled 109 tackles 78 of them which were solo and 31 assists. He had 3 sacks in 2012 and two forced fumbles. Raiders can't afford to loose this guy and they will do anything they can to keep him.

Options for the Silver & Black in free agency are there. They need help in pass rushers and in the secondary and the depth is there for them to target. I want them to personally target these secondary players; Brent Grimes, Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson. These DB's have great skills and will be major upgrades at corner. I've said my interest on these players publicly on Saturday over at @PrideOakland 's twitter. I want to know what players you guys want to be targeted once free agency gets here and which UFA's on the Roster you want the Raiders to get a long term deal done with?
