I saw some guy posted a 2014 Raiders Mock Draft thread with some ideas so I decided I'd give it a shot. First off, I predict both Pryor and DMC have solid years (causing DMC to get an extension) and our top three rookies (Hayden, Watson, Sio) progress gradually as the year goes on at a nice pace. I think we finish 6-10 to 8-8 as the other guy said. I also think we will get enough production and flashes from our young TE core that it won't be a need.
Round 1-Marquis Lee, WR, USC
After Pryor shows he can be a solid QB, we need to surround him with weapons that are reliable. Lee is a stud who will most likely be around where we pick in the first. He is a freak athlete who can pretty much any play if Rod Streater continues to get better after looking terrific in week one and Denarius Moore performs up to his talent level we could be looking at a studly WR corps with Lee-Streater-Moore-Ford-Butler
Round 2-Cyril Richardson, G/OT, Baylor
We need an OG for obvious reasons. Bring him in to man the OG spot and act as an emergency OT if Watson's injury concerns continue, even though I think Watson and Veldheer will be a stud duo for years.
Round 3-Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama
Yep, our OG situation is that desperate. Picking Steen here if he's available could end up giving us a stud OL for years with Veldheer-Richardson-Wiz-Steen-Watson. Steen proved to be a great run blocker and unlike the current guys on our roster he will open up lanes for him.
Round 4-James Gayle, DE, Virgina Tech
Gayle is a stud pass rusher and our DE spot opposite of Houston is Jason Hunter whom I'm not sure is capable. Gayle is an athletic freak with natural pass rushing skills, Houston can handle the run defense.
Round 5-None, traded to seahawks for Matt Flynn SMH
Round 6-Aaron McDonald, DT
Atheltic DT with pass rushing skills
Big DT with run stuffing skills
Round 7-Sean Parker, S, Washington
Hard hitting safety who's very athletic
