The score might not be what we would like to see but the Raiders have played much better than the score would indicate. A chip shot missed field goal by Sebastian Janikowski didn't help the score board either, though he did make a 46 yard attempt before the half was up. The Raiders have thoroughly outplayed the Jaguars in the first half, but with just a score of 10-3 Jacksonville has to be feeling pretty good about their chances.
How about Charles Woodson, or as I like to call him "the ageless wonder". His big highlight in this game was him diving over the top of a blocker to make a big time tackle on Maurice Jones-Drew and it may have saved a touchdown. Besides Woodson there has also been Sio Moore at full speed and making some big hits himself.
Another secondary player who has played well is Tracy Porter. After not endearing himself to Raider Nation yet it was especially nice to see him making some plays. His best play was a break up on a long pass attempt where he turned around just in time to make a play.
Terrelle Pryor hasn't had a bad game with 7 of 13 passing for 69 yards and 6 rushes for 39 yards but he hasn't been great either. Still his impact is easy to see as the defense has to watch for him which has opened up some lanes for Darren McFadden who has 7 rushes for 41 yards. Marcel Reece even got in on the action with his first TD of the season which came on the opening drive with an 11 yard run.
Hopefully some more points come in the 2nd half for the Raiders because they definitely have played better than the score says. If the defense keeps playing like they have been then the extra points left off the board won't matter but we'd all rather not count on that.
