Now that the dust has settled and most of us are starting to feel a little bit better about Monday night's outcome, it's time to shake off some of that negativity with a little good humored fun.
Earlier this season someone posted a shot of TP seemingly pointing the tip of the football at his helmet while being sacked. Everyone outside of Oakland seemed to get a pretty good laugh about that pic and at the expense of our quarterback. He has just 4 starts under his belt so clearly the NFL world and other fans thought that was hilarious and the pic made all the rounds on various sports sites on the Internet. Some sites even suggested posters add their own caption for the pic.
Well, I say it's time for a little old fashioned payback, Raider Nation style. What's good for the goose is good for the gander (BTW, what is a gander? It's a male goose. Whatever.) Folks outside of Raider Nation don't think we have a good sense of humor. Personally, I think we're the only fans with a good sense of humor. I'll let you folks think on that one for a while....
I don't know what other fans see in the following pic but I could swear I see Peyton Manning sticking the point of a football in to his helmet. Peyton Manning has over 200 starts in the NFL, not 4. Is this a football strategy that Peyton is unleashing on the world or is he just channeling Terrell Pryor? It does sound ludicrous that Peyton would copy a quarterback that only has 4 starts in the NFL but anything is possible. Some times older folks look at younger folks for inspiration on what the latest and greatest trends are...I think that's what Peyton is doing here as Lamarr Houston strip sacks him.
Ok, here's the fun part: in the comment section add your special caption or heading for this soon to be famous pic of Peyton Manning sticking the football through his helmet. Let the creative juices flow. Please "rec" the one you like the most so that we can get a winner. Ok, here's the not so fun part: PLEASE keep it clean. I like and use the "F" bomb more than Eddie Murphy in Delirious but let's try not to go there. Ok, if it's just too damn funny, go ahead, but keep it to a minimum.
Have fun and have at it!
