After missing a day of practice while he recovers from a concussion he suffered in Monday's loss to the Broncos, Terrelle Pryor was back at practice on Thursday. He was not wearing a helmet and doing only light work on the side which is a sign he is progressing in the NFL's concussion protocol.
While it is a good sign he could return to action by Friday, it is another day he is unable to work with the team as they prepare for the Redskins on a short week.
In Pryor's absence, Matt Flynn has been taking the reps with the first team. There are three practices during the week and with Pryor missing two already, it raises the likelihood that at some point, Dennis Allen could have to make the call to go with Matt Flynn.
The two of them have very different styles of play and Dennis Allen said on Wednesday that switching from one to the other on the fly would be "a challenge".
Just one more day of practice. If things continue to progress, Pryor should be full go Friday. We'll see how it transpires at that time.
