I think its good that Cutler is not an option anymore. He wanted too much money for us to pay for a inconsistant qb. I would bring in Vick or Mccown for a cheap price. Vick was playing well before his injury and McCown pretty much took over the starting role in chicago. Yes both of these options have also been inconsistant but options are limited and our team needs too much work to sink too much money into 1 player. If those two are not options we could even sign jason campbell or make a trade for Hoyer. Then in the draft I grab a qb with our 2nd pick. I keep Mcgloin and the rookie to learn from the Vet presence and I trade Pryor for a 5th round draft pick to replace the 5th round draft pick we lost for flynn. I think we also need to grab a couple vet wide recievers for our qb to throw to. Makes the transition a hell of a lot easier for average vets to play better football when they have a consistant vet WR. For example look how Flynn, Mccown, campbell were performing this year. I say we grab Boldin to be our #1 WR (dont think he will resign him) then we sign Edelman to take over our slot/kick returner positions since those have been two positions we have struggled with since Ford has gone down hill. That will give us two vets to go along with streater, Holmes, Moore and Butler. I Think that we can sign a vet qb and two solid vet recievers for under $20 mil in cap. That would also free up our #1 PICK in this draft to throw on a Pass Rusher like Clowney if he is still on the board. Ive always said that the guys you draft in the 1st are positions that cost the most to replace in free agency like a DE or a Left Tackle not a guard or a safety. Regardless of what we do for QB we need to bring in a QB coach that can develop young qbs. We havnt had that since Harbaugh was our QB coach and that is truly hurting us!!!
