Off-season is boring. I keep reading draft reports and so I keep doing these to entertain myself. I appreciate the critiques you guys leave :)
Round 1 Pick 5: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M - Stud left tackle. Veldheer should resign and give us a pair of stellar tackles to move forward with.
Round 2 Pick 4: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State - Good size, decent college stats, immediately becomes 3rd CB if we resign Porter to become the starter opposite Hayden in the future.
Round 3 Pick 5 (NYJ): Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Brigham Young - Traded my #3 pick for this round 3 #5 and a round 4 #6. Best player on my big board, gives us more options at linebacker, and means Burnett won't be forced to stay on the field on passing downs.
Round 4 Pick 6 (CLE): Kenny Ladler, FS, Vanderbilt - Haven't heard much of Ladler, saw he was a FS and took a gamble as most of the prospects on my board had gone, and there were no trade down opportunities.
Round 4 Pick 7: Zach Mettenberger, QB, LSU - Prototypical pocket passer, can challenge McGloin in camp.
Round 6 Pick 5: Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton - Assassin32 did a decent scout report on this kid, good size, good college stats, helps solidiy the D-Line.
Round 7 Pick 20: Deandre Coleman, DT, California - Another D-Line pick.
